The X-Small life jacket fits dogs 5-15 pounds, the Small life jacket fits dogs 15-30 pounds, the Medium life jacket fits dogs 30-55 pounds, the Large life jacket fits dogs 55-85 pounds, and the X-Large life jacket fits dogs 85-100 pounds.

Do you take the collar off the dog when the wear the life jacket?

You don't have to remove your pet's collar when you put the Frisco Dog Life Jacket on.

Is there mesh on this? Last time we had a dog life jacket my dog couldn't swim the one time she fell in because her claw got caught up in the mesh on her chest.

I bought this life jacket for my best friend’s dog. She and her dog live in southwest Florida. A couple years ago she was directly effected by a hurricane (she is still making repairs to her property). Now that she has a dog she has been worried about its safety in an emergency. This excellent quality vest secures the dog very well, has a handle on the top to hoist the dog up, and is bright orange with reflective stripes. The best is designed to keep the dog’s head above water. It is wonderful to know that the vest has reassured my friend that she is more prepared for an emergency.

This is our favorite Frisco life jacket

We originally had this in large. Then our dog grew out of it and we couldn’t get the extra large so we bought a different model by Frisco. Both are fantastic life

We originally had this in large. Then our dog grew out of it and we couldn’t get the extra large so we bought a different model by Frisco. Both are fantastic life jackets however this model is the best for pulling up a heavy dog on to a paddle board so to the position of both handles spanning the width of their body. Most of the other dual handle style flagged two handles that face different directions which makes awkward when pulling the dog up the side of a paddle board. Plus the orange color gets so many compliments when we are out in the water! Glad they have the X-Large now!

I appreciate how easy this life jacket is to put on our Kady. It has easy-to-reach buckles that eliminate the need to pull anything snug over her head. It has a great chin pillow to keep her head above water. The ends that fold under her belly have enough stiffness to them to eliminate wrinkles that might be uncomfortable for her. There are handles on top to assist with lifting her onto a paddle board or into the canoe. Attachment points on the vest allow for a connection to the boat or board. The color is pleasing and easy to spot in the water and, of course, she looks beautiful in it. I trust this functional, well-made jacket with my precious girl’s life.

We have used this twice and I like the strap placement and easy snap function. Doggo doesn't hate it so that is good. It didnt impede her water fetch activity. It

We have used this twice and I like the strap placement and easy snap function. Doggo doesn't hate it so that is good. It didnt impede her water fetch activity. It kept her afloat and paddling a little higher. She is 60 lb doodle....we got extra large. She has a history of seizures and is getting older so we wanted something to keep her safe with water activities and boating. The handle is really nice. The price point is so much better than others and perfect for the amount of time we will use it.
