Frisco Solid Nylon Personalized Martingale Dog Collar

Durable and strong

I have bought at least 6 of these collars for my dog and for my son’s dogs. They are strong and are great to get the dog’s name and phone number on them, without having to have the sound of jangling tags.

Runs Very Big

Measured my Standard Poodles neck and based on measurements, the medium should have worked. It's a well made collar and was beautiful in red with white stitching, but sadly, it was huge. We have several Frisco collars in medium, and compared them, this one is a lot longer than her others.

Mistake

Thick, bulky webbing,,,difficult to adjust to size.....adjustment slide covers printing....whole section of double thick webbing totally not needed...not at all satisfactory. Unfortunately this item was personalized,making a return not possible. My mistake. Not yours

Frisco Martingale Collar with Personalization

The collar was a good quality nylon and the personalization was correct. We liked the clip-on buckle because our dog squirms. I had to order a medium collar nd a large collar for my large dog. Neither of them worked because the secondary loop to engage the Martingale feature was TOO LARGE ON BOTH COLLARS. We would adjust the collars correctly around our dog's neck but within less than 3 minutes, she turned the collars around and bit through the secondary loop because the loop was so large it easily fit into her mouth. We tried both collars because her neck size is an in-between size but the problem of the secondary loop being too large was still the same. The collars were expensive and now I have two collars that can't be fixed or used. I was very disappointed. I could not take a picture.

Fit

Martendale loop is too long, so that if fit to neck without choking when pulled the collar is too loose, could pull off. If I get energetic I’ll use my sewing machine and shorten it.

Great for ID

Wasn't familiar with "Martingale"...so, did not realize It's a choke type collar & occasionally use a chain type already. Rather than return it, just altered to remove choke feature. Now, Tara (Boykin) looks Fabulous in her Pink ID collar!

Great collar!

I have a 16 year old 40lb chow mix and he loves to go for rides and walks. This collar suits him perfectly. It's very safe. I had it personalized with his name and they did a wonderful job! Very happy with the purchase.

Better than any other collar I've used

I had a martingale collar with the chain. Twice. This one seems to demand his attention in a different way. Quite secure and kept him from a reactive encounter. I don't know if he likes it, but I sure do. It doesn't seem to bother him, it's just that he has strong opinions these days about how to be. This helps us negotitate so I win.

Won't buy again

It was a decent collar but the hardware that the martingale part runs through prevents the loop from going back flat on the dog when they aren't pulling. My shepherd was able to get her bottom jaw through it and stuck, then chewed it off herself while I was work. Serious hazard that could of choked herself out. Will be buying a different style from now on.

I got small but they are too big for my babies, I wish they made their neck size because the collars are beautiful.
