Nice substrate for a traditional style tank
This substrate worked well for a small tank I use for a isolation tank. I believe the way the gravel sits on itself that it allows plenty of spaces for beneficial bacteria to grow. It seems to be a durable long lasting substrate that is inert. Would be good accents to some natural scapes to depending on your scape.
Helps give my aquarium a nice substrate
I have a small aquarium with 2 goldfish and 1 pleco in it. I needed an aquarium substrate that would be easy to clean and also look nice while also allowing denitrifying bacteria a place to grow and thrive. Although the pieces aren’t too small, my pleco has no issue moving it around to get bits of fallen food. Very pleased and think I will be needing more as I didn’t have enough for a very thick layer.

Neutral Color
I like the Frisco Speckled Aquarium Gravel. The size of the bag if perfect for smaller fish tanks. I like the overall speckled color of the gravel. It almost has that look of crushed concrete to it, with speckles on it, and is basically all gray. Before using, be sure to rinse the gravel well due to the dust that is on it. I like how it gave my small tank a different look to it, rather than the dyed, bright colors of gravel.
Nice, Clean Look!
This gravel is a nice and pleasant light neutral color, giving the aquarium a clean and clear look. With its subtlety, it lets the colors of the fish and decorations really pop and shine through, rather than some garish-colored gravels out there that distract from what you really want to look at: the fish!
Sharp Edges
I bought the Frisco Speckled Aquarium Gravel for my fish aquarium. I put the Frisco Speckle in the bottom of the aquarium and got cut by some of the sharp edges of the gravel. I love the color but not sure how long they will work.
great for fish tank
I'm very happy with these. My kids have a small fish tank and needed gravel. The bag was the right amount for our tank. The gravel itself is easy to rinse in a colander and not fall through. The color was nice and neutral so they could use and decor for the tank and it would look nice.
Worked great for my beta!
Just got a beta fish a couple weeks ago. I added the gravel to the bottom of his tank so that I could stick a glow in the dark flower inside. The help hold the flower up and give a little character to his fish bowl. Definitely won a home decorator award for his little fish tank!

I received this Frisco Speckled Aquarium Gravel several weeks ago. When I first saw the gravel, I didn't like the looks of it. But when I washed it I realized it was very pretty. It looks great in my tank.
