Where is it made
How long will the water last until it needs to be refilled?

The amount of time between refills will depend on your individual pet as well as the number of pets drinking from the fountain. The fountain circulates up to 100-ounces of water while the low water sensor alerts you when the fountain needs to be replenished.
Is this good for hard/heavy water (when the water leaves a white trace behind)?

This Frisco by Chewy fountain helps to eliminate odors, debris and other contaminants from regular tap water.
How often does the pump's pre-filter (the rectangular spongey thing that sits around the pump) need to be changed? And where can I get replacements?

We currently do not offer replacements for the pre-filter sponge. Replacement filters are available for purchase on our website (search for Frisco Dog & Cat Fountain Replacement Filters, 3 Count, 100-oz). For best results, the filter should be replaced every 30 days.
