it did not fit my dog German Shepherd
The length was not long enough, and it Was supposed to be extra extra extra large size But was not If you’re reading this, I would like to know if I can get that size for my dog cause he liked it and everybody else liked it. 26,21, 35 x 60–85 pounds. No integration of the tail... but XXL fit decently well for wanting XXXL
Bought the XXL thinking it was the XXXL size. Still fit decently well but couldn't really do the front chest velcro. Tail to shoulders is around 28" so an XXXL would just barely fit (unfortunately not an offered size). Really the biggest downfall is that the tail is not designed to have your dog's tail inserted, so for dogs with active tails this will look slightly silly. No great way to search chewy for big dog costumes (can't search by size, just lumped categories with terrible filtering so a search for XXXL returned and extra small.....) so hard to see what theoreticalyl should fit. Would be nice to pick your dog's dimensions and get a filtered set.
Well made and good quality, bad sizing
We bought this for our one year old pug granddog according to the sizes in the description which was XL. The large would have been too short and according to the way we were told to measure, this should have fit perfectly. It's huge on him! It's too long and his legs slip out of the leg holes the first step. It's good quality and beautiful colors though so we're going to try and make it work.
Used Measurements
I used the measurements for my overweight Australian Shepherd. The body fits perfectly. I modified the head portion as it has no way to not slip on a dogs body. I just picked up some thin elastic strip and metal snap buttons from a sewing department. I attached a left an a right and ran them at angle to the body of the costume to keep it from spinning left and right as well. This costume has enough padding and built like it could actually get warm on the dog like a light jacket possibly.
Hilarious
This costume is well made and very funny. My dog is not keen on wearing costumes, so getting her used it will take some time. The extra large I ordered for her fits her chest and head, but she's too long, so Chewy kindly refunded it and I ordered an xxl, which is long enough and accommodates her tail.
Cute and Funny
Great material my dog hated it and was scared to walk with it on, he's never had anything like that on before so he wasn't too sure about it we have a 90 pound pit and we got a 2XL it's a little big maybe a XL would have fit him a little better but it works for us
So cute and perfect for her jurasic bork stroller
Our 11 to 14 year old pitbull is getting older so she has a stroller and this was the perfect outside to make her into a dinosaur for Halloween. Had to iron the top but it turned out awesome.
Cute costume but not met for all dogs
I originally ordered an XL for my 10 month old golden, Maya. When I rec’d it, it was way too short for her body length. Chewy sent me the XXL. The length was good but way to big for her belly area and the head piece did not fit correctly on her head
