Frisco Step-In Cat Scratcher Toy with Catnip, Tropical Palms

There are scratchers and then there are scratchers kitties can lounge on. This step-in scratcher is made of layers of pressed wavy cardboard that shreds easily under your cat’s claws without pulling, and provides a spot for your kitty to relax in too. Let your buddy keep busy scratching, it’s not a cat’s way of slacking—it helps support nail health and satisfy an instinctive urge that feels good for felines. Also, it helps keep claws off of your furniture. A packet of catnip is included for an added chill (or thrill) factor.
Key Benefits- Shaped for scratching and lounging—step-in style cat scratcher lets your kitty scratch and lounge, all in one.
- Irresistibly scratchable—made with corrugated cardboard that shreds easily without catching, to satisfy your feline’s urge to scratch.
- Promotes nail health, positive scratching behaviors and helps redirect scratching from furniture and other household items.
- Includes optional packet of catnip so you can sprinkle it on the scratcher for added excitement.
- Scratching is essential for a healthy and well-balanced kitty, so consider getting a scratcher for all their favorite areas at home.
No toy is indestructible. Supervise your pet when using since small parts can present a choking hazard or internal blockage. Discontinue use if the toy is damaged. Keep out of reach of children Note: Cats usually begin to appreciate catnip between 6 and 8 months of age. Use no more than a few times per week for maximum kitty fun. To keep catnip fresh, store in a safe, cool , dark place. Catnip is an herb that grows naturally in the environment. We recommend catnip be used exclusively by cats. It is not intended for human consumption. Monitor play.

Scratch in Session
Cats need to scratch on the daily, so give them a scratching spot that hits the spot. That means a totally scratchable surface like cardboard corrugate, and feline-approved shapes to please your cat or kitty squad.

Claws Up for Corrugate
Corrugate is just a fancy word for wavy cardboard in tight layers, and it’s what these scratchers are made of. Irresistibly shreddable, it feels so good on your kitty’s nails. It shreds easily for the scratch satisfaction cats crave while supporting healthy nails.
Stretch Appeal
Scratching and stretching go paw in paw. That’s why you’ll find uniquely shaped scratchers so kitties can get in a good stretch while they scratch, from flat to wavy and ramp styles.

Nap, Scratch & Roll
Looking for a napping spot your kitty can actually sink her claws into? The step-in designs combine scratch-ability with lots of room to stretch out and lounge. Sprinkle some of the included catnip for some rolling fun.
Choose Your Shred!
Pick from All Kind’s collection of scratchers for every kitty, and always refresh a scratcher after it’s seen its share of healthy shredding.

Smaller then expected but well liked
By Brittany on Mar 21, 2021
I ended up with 2 when my original shipment didn’t show up, received my replacement then the original showed a few days later. Which ended up being meant to be as both mine are obsessed with it and started to fight over having just 1. (They’re smaller at 10lb each for reference) The cat nip didn’t have any directions on it so I only sprinkled half a bag in it, they went nuts for about 20 mins and now it’s just a nice sleeping spot.

Kitty heaven
By Stephie on Apr 16, 2021
My Stephie prefers a scratch pad to posts. She uses it several times a day and she goes nuts over the Catnip when it first arrives. Chewy Catnip must be fresher or more potent than others ! ? The kind I pick up doesn't phase her. I don't know yet how often scratch pads need to be replaced. Guess I will figure it out.

We love our new scratchers!
By Musetta on Apr 2, 2021
Our cats haven’t been this excited in a long time. I can’t believe it they just run to those scratchers with joy ! Like we knew they wanted them. They are easy to put put of the way -and the cats are on them instead of the furniture.!

Another great Frisco product!
By Jade on Mar 12, 2021
I had a flat corrugated scratch box for over a year that needed replacement. Since Kitty liked to lay on it or lean into it, when I saw the Frisco step-in I knew I had to try it, and like all the other Frisco products I've purchased, it's terrific! I will admit the catnip provided was either stale or weak, as she didn't really react to it, but I just used some of my own and everything was fine! A+

What a Super Idea
By Chaoscats2 on Mar 23, 2021
Why did no one think of this sooner? The biggest problem with scratching posts is the debris all over the floor. Inevitably they get turned over by over zealous cats and there is cat nip everywhere. This scratcher takes care of that problem. Both cats love it for scratching and for napping. Sampson is fifteen pounds and it is large enough to hold him.

All the cats love this to relax in
By Sherry on Mar 23, 2021
Cats love it. These are thin cardboard to make it easy for the cats to scratch, which they love, so it can be a little messy. But this specific one has sides so that makes it even better than the others that the cats already loved. We don't even need to use the catnip in it.

SCRATCH AWAY
By GrannyA on Apr 5, 2021
My kitten didn't like this at first but she warmed up to it. Now she uses this so much that she has decided not to scratch the furniture anymore. She has scratching posts but she appears to prefer the cardboard box. She even sleeps in it. She doesn't like it if anyone touches it either... that is her home base for fun.

Top notch scratcher
By Kelli on Feb 26, 2021
Another winner for both kitties! We have a similar scratcher that had been quite scratched up, but still enjoyed regularly. Booboo likes to lay in it as her bed. I wanted a second one so they could each have a box to lay in and scratch as needed. Of course they both love it. Bronson broke it in first and enjoys sitting in it as we relax in the living room, surveying his domain. Booboo likes to lounge in this as well after a nice relaxing scratch. It was an excellent price, too, so I will probably replace the other lounger with one of these.

My cat loves these!
By Benabug on Mar 27, 2021
I'm not sure my cat got the memo that this box is for scratching and not dismantling but he absolutely loves it. He loves to chew on it and tear it apart and, occasionally, sometimes scratch on it. I now buy them in bulk as he goes through them pretty quickly!

Yes, it’s a cardboard Box
By Frankie on Mar 20, 2021
Yes, it’s a cardboard box, but it’s a nicer looking one than the ones that are always in my face. Also, Frankie is already sleeping in it, so it’s a bed now, too. She’s 11 lbs and really long (not fat, literally just a bigger cat) and she’s quite cozy.
