Great for my Syrian hamster
I purchased my hamster from an ethical breeder around 5 hours away. My hamster needed to be happy and comfortable the whole way home and he was. He went straight to sleep in the deep bedding the carrier allowed and only poked his head out once. No escaping and no agitation. I definitely would recommend, especially for Syrians and long distance.
Chick Carrier
Absolutely perfect for what I needed. When buying chicks I used one of the stores folding chick boxes. As I was getting into my car the bottom of their folding box fell open and all my chicks fell to the ground. I swore right then I'd find a safer carrier. This is it. It's perfect for chick shopping.
perfect for rats
i use this while cleaning my ratties cage, works perfect and they have plenty of room. No issues here, i do not suggest using it for long periods of time as some rodents will chew the plastic but its great for short term. My boys are not big chewers thankfully.
great carrier horrible shipping
I’ve used this carrier before and wanted another, but through shipping I suppose someone thought it was a good idea to put this with 4 12 packs of canned dog food which inevitably broke the whole thing. I’m not even sure if it broke on the way here or before they packed it but Ill be waiting to see what chewy can do for me.
Rats will chew through it.
Chewy has been great with customer service, first a replacement, then a refund when my rats chewed through it a second time. But, I want to warn rat owners not to leave your rats unattended for prolonged times with it. They may chew through it.

I love this carrier. I love the amount of ventilation which is important for rats especially. It fit 3 of my adult male rats with room to spare. I like the top loading aspect as well! I got this carrier specifically to use for the carrier method (if you know, you know!). I like the clear top bc you can see in easily to make sure everything is going well. The latch is pretty easy to unlatch, making it quick to open if you need to. There is also a hole on both sides where you can fit a water bottle. You have to finagle it a bit but its possible! I would not recommend this for animals over over 5ish pounds. I personally do not find it to be sturdy enough. But for small animals, its a perfect carrier!
Perfect for Guinea pigs
Perfect size for my rescue piggies! Hard sided is preferred because they are prone to heatstroke.
Frustrating Purchase
I am fostering two pregnant guinea pigs from my local humane society and had to pick them up the day after this carrier arrived, so I had no time to return it after learning the lid was warped and would not stay attached. I had to duct tape this brand new carrier together to pick up my foster babies which was incredible embarrassing. I do not recommend this product at all.
Easy to Clean/Open, Not Sturdy
Love the convenient size to take a rat or two to the vet, just throw in a small blanket and they’re cozy. The top easily opens up and it’s easy to clean. Nice ventilation. HOWEVER, do NOOTTTT use the handles!!!! It’s NOT sturdy or strong! I picked it up by the handles and thank god it wasn’t far off the ground and I was indoors away from my cats and had a decent layer of blanket because the whole bottom fell off and two of my rats fell to the ground with it!
Perfect for guinea pig
I rescued 2 guinea pigs and only one found a home. Since we travel to our cabin each weekend I needed something to transport "teddy" in. This works out perfect for him! plenty of room to move around and for a large handful of hay in case he gets the munchies.
