Works great!
My little pekingese (10lbs) fit great in the 17in. It's kind of large for her still, so I will probably put a blanket in it for her. It is very sturdy which allowed her to prop herself on the edge and fully lay down when she wanted. She was only peeking her head out because I called her name, but she was comfortable fully laying down before the photo. I'm so glad that I found an inexpensive seat that works for us. It's so nice to not worry about my dog slipping around in the car. It's much safer! Note: the seat has 3 straps, all adjustable - one to attach to your pup's harness, another to go over the headrest, and another that goes around the seat to anchor the bottom. If you adjust your straps to fit your car, it prevents the seat from sliding around. I have my girl in the back seat, so I folded down the seat temporarily to get the lower strap set up. It was able to fit all the way around the back and middle seat (attached in my car). We're very happy!

Our Dachshund puppies love their car seats. One practice (see picture) and they were ready to go! Each dog has his own seat and is content to look out the windows. Best purchase ever!
