Mold

I got a moldy one. I noticed 2 white’ish spots on it, let it sit out for a week or so and noticed the white spots were larger and there were more of them. Bummer

I got a moldy one. I noticed 2 white’ish spots on it, let it sit out for a week or so and noticed the white spots were larger and there were more of them. Bummer cause my hamster would’ve loved it. It’s a good size & texture.

Soft wood

Wood seems soft, first time hamster owner, first time buying a hamster log. So several reviews said they had mold. So its firm and hard but bark is softer, maybe

Wood seems soft, first time hamster owner, first time buying a hamster log. So several reviews said they had mold. So its firm and hard but bark is softer, maybe boiled after made. Idk, anyhow I didn't really see mold, do I baked it to sanitize it. Let it cool and put in my hammies habitat. I'm pretty sure he'll like it, he's burrowed away at the moment, so time will tell. I do like that it doesn't Seem like it would scratch him The inside feels pretty smooth.

Really horrified by how moldy this was when I received it. Even more surprising to see other reviewers saying the same thing. The wood was even sort of soft and spongy. I don't know what happened to these to make them moldy but I think it's pretty appalling that somebody decided it was OK to put it in a box and ship it to me.

The outer packaging of this product was made of plastic. You could see moldy rot at a glance. I don‘t understand why they still send it to me. also I couldn’t find a place to refund or appeal.
