Salt is a source of the minerals sodium and chloride. It is essential in regulating your pet’s blood pH level, and promotes hydration and healthy kidney function.
Where are the ingredients from?

These treats are made in the USA. The vast majority of ingredients used in Purina products are sourced in the U.S. Like other food companies, they do source a limited amount of ingredients from other countries. These ingredients are primarily essential nutrients, such as taurine and B vitamins that are not commonly available in the U.S. in the quantities we need and are sourced in China. The vast majority of their meat and poultry ingredients are sourced from the United States. They do source select ingredients outside of the United States. For example, the lamb and venison utilized in their products is sourced from New Zealand and Australia. They inspect each ingredient for quality and safety as it arrives at their facilities. Their quality assurance team performs multiple checks throughout the manufacturing process, and employees have the power to reject any ingredients that don’t meet their high standards.
