Full Moon believes dogs deserve food that’s every bit as good as what we humans feed ourselves, so they try to choose the best every step of the way. Every Full Moon treat starts with USDA-approved, farm-raised meats carefully cooked in small batches, for a quality and taste that’s evident in every bite. You’ll notice the difference the second you open the bag.
Naturally Healthy and Tasty
Regionally sourced, cage-free US poultry, Heritage US pork and ranch-raised cattle fed an all-natural diet form the foundation for all Full Moon’s meaty treats. Full Moon uses only meat from healthy, farm-raised animals and never adds any artificial colors or preservatives to their treats. Reward your pup the way nature intended, with treats full of the natural protein he needs to feel his best.
Made In The USA
Full Moon makes all their treats in fully GFSI-compliant, BRC or SQF Food Safety Standards-audited kitchens. Unlike other companies, who use high heat thermal extrusion to make their foods and treats, they slow cook their recipes under low heat to retain more of the raw ingredients’ natural nutrients and flavor. It’s a wholesome difference your pet will taste and one you’ll appreciate, too.
Raised with Care
Raising animals the right way not only guarantees a better product, it’s simply the right thing to do. Full Moon works with its family farmers across the US to ensure that only the highest ethical standards are employed in raising the poultry, pork and cattle that goes into their treats.
Quality Ingredients
Full Moon takes pride in the quality of their ingredients, and no ingredient is more important than the protein they pack into every human-grade treat. They use USDA-inspected meats sourced from Perdue Farms—the same high-quality, antibiotic-free Perdue meats you see at your local store. For over 100 years, Perdue has worked with its farmers to raise animals right and thoughtfully tend the land.
About Full Moon Pet Treats
Full Moon is a fourth generation, family-owned company that’s been making naturally delicious pet treats since 2011. The idea for Full Moon Treats was born when founder Ryan Perdue grew frustrated with all the low quality dog treats made with low-grade meat from places like China and cheap fillers like corn. Today, they make a range of great-tasting, nutritious treats made from simple, honest recipes and 100% natural ingredients. Each recipe uses USDA-approved, human-grade meat and is cooked right here in the USA in Full Moon’s very own kitchens.
You mention that your treats are "human grade." Is this a marketing term? Is this different from "food grade?"
Answer by • Mar 07, 2019
The term "human grade" in pet food means the finished product is legally suitable and approved as nourishment for humans. It is much more rigorously regulated than foods normally made for animals. The term "food grade" is an adjective that means the material or product at hand is either fit for human or animal consumption, or, more commonly, is at least permitted to come into contact with food like a plastic food storage container.
I bought this product a few times. My little guys liked them but then, they started to change color the of product and they were solid as a rock and couldn't even break or cut them in half. I noticed my dog getting loose bowls and then one day my Maltese started peeing blood after eating these a few days in a row. I rushed her to the vet and they said all the test showed there were no kidney issues or infection and to immediately stopped those Jerky treats. I threw them away and both my dogs were back to normal in 2 days. Be careful with you dogs health. it was scary. Not Chewys, fault but there needs to be better quality control as I notice this is going on with many other products. Always! something different going on sadly.

Don’t buy!
I’ve given these to my dog for quite some time now. Until now. This last batch has white residue which I figured was some harmless coating. I can’t tell you the diarrhea my dog had after eating these. I thought maybe she had a parasite, so kept giving her these treats. Diarrhea persisted. I didn’t connect the two. Even giving her a bland diet she was still having awful diarrhea. And then I finally said, let’s see what happens if she doesn’t eat these. Next day, she was back to normal. I’ll be throwing these away 100%

Product problem
I've ordered this numerous times in the past. This is not what it's supposed to look like unless recipe was changed or disgruntled employee making product.
I realize it's not chewy's fault. Definitely a quality control issue that needs to be addressed.
I called chewy directly and will be email them. Along with full moon. I would not of course feed this to my dog or even a cockroach something's not right it looks like a dried out sponge..

Great product
These are the best not only do they look like chicken they smell like chicken. My fur baby loves them. I purchased them elsewhere and decided to look on chewy and was happy to find them here for a better price and a larger bag there’s no doubt this will be a number one treat in my house.

What’s going on?
I have ALWAYS been completely satisfied with anything I get from Chewy. My last two orders of this and Pet and Shape chicken skeeers have been very disappointing. Both products have been old and dried out. Even the replacement I received was just as bad. I am not sure what is going on but I am hesitant to order anymore. I love Chewy and believe it is the manufactures issue not Chewys. Just old product perhaps.

Happy Chihuahua
She is absolutely crazy about full moon chicken jerky. She knows where they are and barks at the door for me to open it to get the bag with the chicken jerky. She keeps testing me with. I’m not eating because I want chicken jerky.

full moon chicken jerky
I have bought these many times. But this shipment they are stale or something. Not soft. And they turn white. Not sure if I’d buy again. My dogs don’t like them anymore either. And they loved them.

If your dog doesn’t chew, these aren’t the best
I tried many ways to give these to Gloria, but she tries to swallow them and they get stuck in her throat to where I have to pry open her mouth and they kinda stick to her throat. She did not choke on it! I was able to pass them onto a dog that savors things more deliberately.

Green mold
My recent package of full moon chicken jerky was covered in green mold. Seems like I’m not the only one who got a package like this. Will not buy again. Vet bills are too expensive.

Would not recommend!!
I was a loyal customer of this product however the last maybe 5 purchases have been very poor. The chicken turns white and hard. I’ve contacted customer service and they’re very good about sending a replacement. I end up just throwing away a full bag. I’ve given this product several times to win me back. I would not recommend this product.
