Good bed for messy dogs
I've been looking for a sturdy covered bed for my Lab. It's a nice material and it's thick enough to give comfort. It stays cool and i can add blankets for the warmth if needed. Its waterproof for the most part and I can take it off to wash it if I need to, or even just squirt it off and set it in the sun. My lab is constantly in and out of water and staying kind of dirty, so this is great. Only thing I wish I would have ordered one size up, that was my bad, but it still fits his big ole butt (Don't tell him he's 96 pounds). it also fits in his XLarge kennel!
Ripped DO NOT BUY
Bought this bed because it was SUPPOSED to be a tough material but it ripped in less than 2 months. The rip came fromy dog STEPPING on it. NOT CHEWING. The company that made this claims to have a warranty but their website doesn't work so I couldn't register it.
nice new bed
The new dog bed arrived today and seems to be very well made. It arrived in a vacuum-sealed plastic bag. I detected no odor (nothing resembling odors other reviewers reported). The bed's cover is a thick nylon fabric and looks like it should be durable and repel water. The zipper looks sturdy. This bed (size L) is for an outdoor doghouse. Its width fits the doghouse floor perfectly. However, the length is 4 inches short. The next size up (XL) would have been the right length but way too wide... So I compromised by purchasing the L. This bed is sufficiently large for my dog to relax on comfortably. He took to it immediately and has been napping in the doghouse all afternoon! It came with a 60-day warranty that, once registered, seems to include replacement coverage for dog-induced damage! Yay!!
Cover destroyed
Purchased this dog bed through Chewy and received it 2/6/22. We purchased the bed since it was an orthopedic bed for night time sleeping only for our older dog and she loved it and so did we. I washed it 3 times following the washing & drying instructions correctly and the inside of the cover is totally destroyed basically dry rotted and getting worse and worse each washing. The inside protective lining, so said waterproof lining, is disintegrating leaving my wash machine full of the pieces of the material making a total mess to clean up. When removing the cover from the foam there is a total mess on the foam which needs to be cleaned. The cover must be totally unzipped and shaken out to remove the loose pieces. The cover is supposed to protect the foam but since there is no lining the foam is now getting a horrible smell and must be scrubbed down. What good is a dog bed when it can't be washed and doesn't even last a year. I would appreciate some feedback on this issue from the manufacturing company FurHaven.
My dogs distroyed this bed
Who cares if it's waterproof is the puppies can shred it so easily? The cover was definitely water proof. The zipper made it easy to remove and clean. Disappointed in the durability.
My dogs love this bed!
We have a combination of fluffy beds with rings around them and "sensible" beds that are designed to hold up well. This is a "sensible" bed and the dogs love it as much as they love the fluffy ones that they also destruct in a couple of months. I'm back to buy another one!
Absolutely love this bed
Best bed purchase I've done in a while. Perfect size two from my Great Dane! 👍 With his age and inability to get up on things very well this bed works perfectly in my living room for him to just hang out.
Not FurHaven
I was very disappointed when the bed arrived that it was not fabric covered. After one night sleeping on it my dog refused to sleep on it again. The cover is all denier covered. It is NOT soft. This could be a decent outside lounging bed, but it's not good for a creat bed.
awful quality!!!
my dog had this bed for 5 minutes and put a hole in it and the stuffing came out! Literally just bought it and she can't use it!!! Don't buy this crappy bed.
Not what I expected
Unfortunately this bed is not the quality I expected for the price I paid. We have had it for a month and the foam is already worn down.
