Is the foam made in China? Do you know if it is safe, free from toxins?

All FurHaven foam is manufactured in the U.S.A and has been rigorously tested to ensure it meets standards for content, emissions, and durability. It has been analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories. Although FurHaven fabrics are shipped from overseas, they are dedicated to ensuring that every manufacturer they collaborate with has the same environmental principles as they do. This ensures their products are consistent with their own professional values and goals. For optimum pet health, FurHaven uses low VOC, CertiPUR-US certified foam. This domestic foam is made without PDBEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals. This foam is manufactured without formaldehyde, ozone depleters, and phthalates regulated by the CPSC.

What size should I get for my husky?

We recommend measuring your pet to find the perfect bed size. Pets who curl up to sleep can fit on a smaller bed, while pets who stretch out need a larger bed. To determine the ideal bed length, measure your pet in his or her normal sleeping position, then add 4-6” for cats and small dogs, or 8-12” for medium to large dogs. When in doubt, we suggest ordering the bigger size.

Is this a solid piece of foam? Is there a non-skid bottom for use on wooden floors?

This bed features a foam core that soothes pressure points and provides joints support. It has a plush faux sheepskin top. Also, it does not have a non-skid bottom.

Is is possible to purchase just the cover without the foam?

I had 2 doggy beds in my room and the GSD usually slept on one of those. He fit but he needed more leg room so I purchased this bed. He fits, he has room to spread out a bit and he loves it!
