Is this made with formaldehyde or other chemicals that foam beds often have?

For optimum pet health, FurHaven uses low-VOC, environmentally conscious foam. This domestic foam is manufactured in the US without PDBW flame retardants; mercury, lead and other heavy metals; formaldehyde; ozone depleters; and phthalates. It's been rigorously tested to ensure it meets standards for content, emissions and durability.

Lolly is an eighty pound Lab and the jumbo plus size is more than perfect for her. She can stretch out completely or curl up. The quality cover, the firm and cushioning foam and the bolsters along the edges supporting her head works very well. I think it was a very good purchase!

My dog has recently started needing supplements for his spine, hips, and knees. He has a 6-year-old orthopedic bed that’s beginning to sag, so I decided to get him a new one. He likes to stretch when he sleeps, so I didn’t want a bed with full-formed bolsters. This one has gentle curves designed to help with spinal alignment. Unfortunately, he wasn’t fond of the new bed. I left it out for about a week and even placed his cooling blanket on it to carry his scent, but he refused to sleep on it and spent the week on the floor. He tried it a few times but never stayed on it for long. After several nights, I brought his old bed out and placed it next to the Furhaven, and he spent the entire night on his old bed. I took out the mattress, and it was clean and firm with the blue cooling top, so I didn’t see any issues with the mattress itself. However, it was quite difficult to put the mattress back into the cover due to the density of the foam and its curved shape. Maybe he doesn’t care for the curves, or it’s too firm for him, but I will be returning it once I figure out how to get it back in the box. :(

This bed is GREAT for about 6 months with my both of my 100lb XL bullies sleeping on it. We have 3 beds but they always sleep together and on this bed. I’ve noticed it doesn’t flatten quite considerably but it’s the largest bed on here that will fit in a two bedrooom apartment without falling over :D I get the giant size and hope they can increase the size Haily of the foam so that it will last at least a year!

Supportive foam bed

When I put the cover on it, I was concerned the cooling effect would be dampened. My Old English Sheepdog (lots of hair) didn't seem interested in it at first

When I put the cover on it, I was concerned the cooling effect would be dampened. My Old English Sheepdog (lots of hair) didn't seem interested in it at first. We changed the location of it to another room and gave it a week or so when she finally would lay on it for short periods. She likes to let her toys sleep on it. It's not her favorite but it's a quality bed. I think the cooling feature is minimal but the bed will not flatten out under her 63 lb body as some other beds do.

The picture makes this bed look a lot better than it actually is. I bought a Jumbo for my Golden Retriever. The foam inside is just that, a thin piece of foam. I decided to spend a little extra and get the cooling gel foam bed but it is litterally just a block of foam, nothing "cooling" about it. Lucy has used the bed for a little over a week now and the cover is already very loose and shedding strings/fur. For the amount of money I spent on the bed I at least expected something that would last at least 6months to a year, I think this will only last maybe a month. Very disappointed and for once should have listened to all of the negative reviews
