Glad to see this item on Chewy!
Purchased this kit through another online vendor 2 years ago to help with seasonal shedding from 3 British Shorthairs, and have been trying ever since to talk my local pet shop into stocking it. I wasn’t sure how the whole Vacuum+Cat in same room scenario was gonna play out. Fortunately the unit is not loud - particularly on the low setting. One cat took to it immediately. The other 2 acclimatized after ~ 2 uses, and now also purr through their spa treatments. The attachment that looks like a Furminator is the most effective for our cats. After brushing all 3 cats, I end up with a ball of undercoat in the catch, that would otherwise have been deposited over our house (or floating around the room if I’d used a manual Furminator). Start with it on the low setting until they get used to it, or even with the vacuum part on the other side of a partly closed door (it has a decent length hose). Cannot recommend more highly!
Very happy
Got thus for a couple of reasons. We have 2 dogs. One is a Golden Retriever, so I was interested in being able to give her trims myself. It works really well for that, although getting thru some of her fur was a little bit of a challenge. A good brushing first really helped. Our 2nd dog has shorter hair, but sheds like crazy, so I use the deshedder tool on her. It does get a lot of hair, and she is slowly getting used to the noise, which is not loud, but she's not used to being brushed with an electric deshedder. So far, I'm very happy with the Fur Me.
Impressed
Low volume, works well. Don't get me wrong, the cats don't line up for it and love it, but they don't run from us like at bath time or fight us to get away. They will quickly leave when we tell them thank you and let them go, and look at us with disappointment. Mind you, our cats are well-behaved and generally sweet... but they are respectable cats who won't be put through our nonsense without letting us know we let them down with a soul searing backward glance! All in all, the volume is workable, the machine will lessen their hair load to the point they aren't coughing up hairballs, and it is simple to use and store.

Coming from a cat dad…this is the best pet product I have ever invested money in. My cat Mochi is in love with this FurMe device. I am thrilled he’s happier and healthier. Amazing!!!
This is the most amazing tool I have ever used to groom a dog. We have had several. I have always groomed them myself. Our current dog is 11+ and does super well being groomed. That being said, I am tired of cleaning up the mess it creates. So when I saw this advertised, I was VERY interested. I oredered it from Chewy.com and it came SO FAST!! Every attachment I have used so far works fantistic. The only one I won't be using is the one for shedders. My dog doesn't shed. The trimmers are totally amazing and there was NO mess when I was done!!!! YAY!!! If you aren't sure, try it because I think you will be pleasantly suprised!
Worth the money
I have 3 dogs ranging from short haired to long haired. They were afraid of this vacuum at first but after I started using it, they loved it. I love that it contains their hair and you can turn it up for more suction.
Deshedding little miracle!!
I bought this for deshedding my dog only and it is still worth the price. I love it because it contains the hair better than just brushing which was a mess.
LOVE IT!
Works great, keeps hair from flying all over the place while grooming. Using it on my Akita, German Shepherd and Australian shepherd, and they tolerate it well. Loaned it to my daughter for her furry girl, then she got her own!

A unbelievable product I am sorry I did not get it sooner. It is nice to come home and not see dog hair all over the floor. My dog is afraid of when I vacuum but the sound on the FurMe does not bother her at all.
Maybe for a small dog...
I really wanted this to work for me, but it's just not powerful enough. The Furimator I have does a better job - though that has to be done outside. Using this inside on a big dog (Lab) would still be too messy.
