Nail care is one of the most important and somewhat misunderstood areas of pet care for most pet owners. Because nails require clipping and grinding, many pet parents are afraid of injuring their pets, but ignoring nail care is just as harmful. FURminator's unique, proprietary nail care solutions are completely safe and easy to use, thus eliminating the discomfort from the process, not only for pets but also for their owners.

Hate to give Chewy a bad review but I decided to buy a new pair of clippers after 18 years of using the same pair on two 65lb dogs and three cats weekly, thinking the old pair might be a bit dull. However, this new pair was completely worthless, simply smashing my dog's nails into layers, eventually yes, clipping it off, but nowhere near cleanly. I am back to using my old pair.
This clipper repeatedly split my cat’s nails which is painful to them. Thought it might be a learning curve but they’re just a cheap quality product that will potentially hurt your pet. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, ever.
Bought this some time back and just tried them out today on my cats. It’s extremely dull right. All it did was crush and tear my cat’s claws and left them ragged. It didn’t cut at all. Maybe it would work better on a dog that has thicker nails? These clippers are so dull they can’t even cut thin air. I had bought these along with a different brand of clipper, which works far better, so I hadn’t got around to trying out the furminator kind until now. Unfortunately I’ve already got rid of the packaging and it’s been too long since I bought them to return.
I'm sure these are perfect for dogs, but too rugged for my cats. I needed this style clipper for my ease, but these are too much for my cats. Probably won't use them.
They work ok on my dog but they do not work on my cat and needed them for my cats not really worth how much they are priced
I had high hopes for these nail clippers from FURminator, as the shedding brush/combs have worked well. The rubber grips are a good size, however you can feel a roughness when the blades close. The issue I have with the clippers, is that FURminator attached a guard to keep the cut pieces of nail from being thrown. The principle is sound, the execution IMO, is a miss. With the guard in place, you can't see the entire nail, so it's possible to cut too much nail causing bleeding. Without the guard, they work well. Remove the guard to keep from drawing blood from your FUR friend.
Terrible quality. Not sharp at all. The clippers do not open wide enough. Very dissapointed.
Package came torn open, the cutter must have been used because it’s dull! I couldn’t even cut my small dogs nails, totally junk- don’t waste your money!
Their not that good for golden ret nails they clip raggedy have to use a nail file for dogs afterwards an extra step he’s not happy with nail clipping is not his favorite thing to do
Overall a great-looking product. Probably perfect for dogs. I Searched Chewy for “Kitten Nail Clipper” and this came up. . . but I would not recommend for cats or kittens. Although the product says for dogs and cats, I would recommend a different product for all cats. Because the adjustable nail guide obstructs view, it’s almost impossible to see the nail while trimming, making it very difficult to avoid the nerve (since the cat’s nail is too small for the nail guide to be useful). This is a very large clipper, again not making it a good fit for tiny cat nails. . . more likely a good cigar trimmer.
