FAQ
Furosemide Syrup is primarily used to treat heart failure and pulmonary edema (lung fluid). It is also used to treat some electrolyte imbalances, such as high calcium and high potassium levels. Furosemide Syrup is a diuretic that blocks salt and fluid absorption in the kidney tubules to cause an increase in urine output.
- A diuretic-saluretic for prompt relief of edema.
- A high degree of efficacy, low-inherent toxicity and a high therapeutic index.
- A rapid onset of action and of comparatively short duration.
Give Furosemide Syrup exactly as directed by your veterinarian.
This medication is given by mouth. Never stop giving Furosemide Syrup suddenly unless your veterinarian instructs you to. Always speak to your veterinarian if you have questions about how to give this medication.
Furosemide works by increasing the amount of salt and water that the kidneys remove from the blood. This extra salt and water is then passed out through the urine.

Great buy
It was great how chewy called the vet and how fast we got our dogs meds. The price was great also. Cheaper then anywhere else.

no syringe and the dropper did not provide me with the correct dosage amount.
The dropper did not have the dosage I needed and you did not include a small syringe when you knew the prescription required .3 ml.

Impressed with speedy delivery & price
My elderly dog has a heart problem. Initially, my local pharmacy filled his prescription at a reasonable cost. But after three months at the same price, the cost
My elderly dog has a heart problem. Initially, my local pharmacy filled his prescription at a reasonable cost. But after three months at the same price, the cost suddenly increased over two and a half times! This wasn’t sustainable for me. When I shopped around and found Chewy to be the least expensive option for this med he’ll need for the rest of his life, I was worried about receiving it in time. My vet won’t communicate with pharmacies by phone. Without a phone call, Chewy then requires a paper script and does not permit email or fax. This meant I had to use snail mail to send the prescription to Chewy. I was concerned about the turnaround time. I only had a small amount of medication left and he can’t miss a dose of this heart medication. In spite of it taking several days for the prescription to get to Chewy, they got it to me in time. It was filled and shipped very quickly. I’m grateful to Chewy Pharmacy for so quickly providing my Yorkie’s medication at a cost I can afford.

It is easy to get your pet to take this liquid, but it has had not effect on Sophie's coughing from fluid in her lungs. No change.
