The catit fountain was an upgrade from the all plastic to the stainless top. The stainless is safer for the pets but doesn't quite fit the same way in that it has a little notch that you have to line up with the base. A tiny pain but not a big deal. Other fountains splash water everywhere, are hard to clean or pumps are not powerful. This one is just right. Though no fountain is perfect this checks the box for stainless top, easy to clean, efficient. One drawback is the light on the fountain can't be turned off. So if you don't want a nightlight perhaps get a different pump. The light makes it easy to see the water line. I have 4 of these at home. They were great.

I have fussy cats, I rescue & foster fussy cats, I can't say enough good things about the goats milk version! Real chunks of meat in milk broth. I add a bit of water to make sure they are getting their fluids & they lap it up. I've used it with sick cats, skiddish cats & recommend it to anyone who will listen. It's pricey but in the end worth it if you can get them to eat.

My cat enjoyed this food, but since it has some large pieces of the shredded chicken in it, he would drag them from the bowl onto the floor to chew separately to break them up. Observing this, I would try to break them up in his bowl before offering him the food. He finds it quite tasty, and him being diabetic, it is appropriate for his low-carbohydrate food requirements.
