Is this good for a turtles tank?
Answer by ChewyOct 11, 2021
This absorbent pole can also help the roots of climbing and upright plants take hold and climb, making your terrarium even more majestic. It wouldn't be used for a turtle to climb on or over however.

Can it be cut down to a smaller length if the smallest is still to long ..
Answer by ChewyAug 23, 2021
We would not recommend cutting the perch. It is PVC pipe underneath and cutting the moss area may unravel it. If you need to cut it, you would want to reseal the end to make sure that there is not loose string or excess material.

How does this pole attach to the enclosure, does it have suction cups or tension? Or is it just there... like a piece of wood?
Answer by ChewyFeb 22, 2021
You can use silicone, but the animal cannot be in the tank for a couple of days to make sure the fumes dry. Most people end up securing it on pieces of wood or wedging it between the ground and the glass to ensure stability.

Is it safe if your bird ingests any of the moss?
Answer by ChewyMar 05, 2022
Birds will not normally consume moss. Most of the time, birds will move the moss for nesting material or to shape it as they desire. If you notice a bird consuming the moss, we suggest removing it from the birdhouse just in case.

Not for animals

This is a plant stake. Just a plant stake. No where on this item nor packaging does it mention that it is safe for birds, reptiles or any other type of animal.

good for snakes

I bought this for my snakes and had to trim a bit but they look great in their tanks after using closet rod holders to keep them in place.

Not For Birds

The perch is sort of like a large bubble tea straw with moss glued to it. We couldn't figure out how to attach it to the cage, and there were no instructions. It came with pins ( LOL! ?). We finally took a perch and put it through the opening after cutting the straw off at the end. This was ok, except it would move around the perch when the bird landed on it. I put one in the cockatoo's cage and we pulled the moss off of the straw. We glued it to one of the perches. It was chewed off in 15 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with birds.
