Grows Fungus
I bought this spiderwood and it arrived in great clean condition. I ended up soaking the wood for about one full week until it sank in the bucket. Afterwards I rinsed placed into established aquarium and the first two weeks it looked great after that white slime fuzzy stuff all over new driftwood will not go away nothing eats it only on spiderwood from Chewy. I have removed and boiled as well and replaced back into aquarium and it came right back. Total loss on this driftwood. Its only growing on the stuff I just received.
Came as 3 pieces
This wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, rather than 1 Large piece, it came as 3 smaller pieces (not broken, just 3 separate pieces). They still look good in my aquarium, but I had to order some more driftwood because these did not take up the space I was expecting.
nothing like the picture
I bought 4 pieces of this driftwood hoping they would be similar to the picture. I received 4 pieces that were actually 2 pieces each held together with rubber bands . None of them have the look of fullness like the picture and they are no where as big as I thought they would be. The dimmensions in the description must be for the container that they came in because mine are only about 12 to 14 inches at their best and are scrawny. I am completely disappointed.
Good, Great, Awsome
My peice wasn't as tangled as the picture. Mine looked better with 5 twisting limbs, 3 nubs, and cut straight across on the main truck. I had 4-5 ways to place it and they all looked good. Looked good in my 10 Gal A;most all the way across and up to the top of the water. Put it in my 30 Gal breeder. Placing the truck using the rule of thirds that put an arch way at the center of the tang. Absolutely an awsome, work of art. Some points- 1. the wood releases tannin, Doen't hurt anything. The water will be brown but will go away. Clear water chem wait 2-3 days 25% water change and mine was clear in about 10 days. 2. Strange White Mold will appear. Nothing wrong, Will go away. My fish ate it. 3. It will float. Getting water logged take some time. I put a small bag of grave on top at first. I was able to take the bag off with gravel mounded around the base. I liked the look so I kept it. It;s been about 3-4 weeks. Tank is clear, root looks awsome, and I think it might stay on the bottom with no help. Hope they can give a peice as good as mine to everbody. I'm going to buy more soon.
Not what was described
Definitely nothing that looks like the picture and way overpriced for literally a stick. Very disappointed with this one. I don't recommend this product at all especially at the price point it's at.
Poor shipping but nice product
The pieces that came were good sized. However, it was packed with a bag of Fluval Stratum in a large box with plenty of open space for them to slide around and smash into each other. Obviously the substrate won and broke off a bunch of the limbs on the wood :/
Very small
The piece is way smaller than the listing specs of 24 x 8 x 8 inches And 2.33 pounds. It was actually 2 tiny pieces with a rubber band connecting them. Not at all what I was expecting so I wouldn’t recommend.
Bad product and advertising
Nothing li the picture is two small branches tums down for sure
Not too enthused
This was not protected, just thrown in box with a heavy bag of rock substrate to crush it. I received a decent piece, but it’s either two branches broke off or they included two broken sticks. I read the reviews and thought I’d receive two or three smaller pieces like some have. Because I have two small 5 gallon tanks. And a 1 gallon tank. This piece of wood is too large. I really thought I was getting 2-3 driftwood pieces not 1 big piece and two sticks.
Better than expected
After reading other reviews and seeing the pictures of this stuff is figured it could go either way so I took the chance. I got a really nice piece so I ordered another one and it was also very nice. Lots of character. Will definitely be ordering more.
