Packaging states the quality of the coir is appropriate for use to grow live plants, is this true? Have the salt minerals and other detrimental elements been removed to ensure it is safe to use to grow live plants without burning the roots?
Answer by • Aug 24, 2021
Galapagos Tropicoco Soil is washed and sieved which should not harm plants in a commercial environment. They do suggest planting in the Bioactive Soil rather than in 100% Tropicoco Soil however. Tropicoco Soil does not naturally contain any nutrients and is just a planting substrate. Plants need organic matter and nutrients to thrive.
Is this only the very fine, soft coir material or does it also contain pieces larger than a pinhead with fibers as well?
Answer by • Aug 03, 2021
The coconut soil will have pieces with a variety of sizes but all of them are very small.
is this safe for a geckos tank?
Answer by • Mar 19, 2022
This Tropicoco Coconut Soil substrate is for tree frogs, crested geckos, Pacman frogs, anoles, garter snakes, box turtles, white’s tree frogs, and similar species.
