Very well sealed
I purchased this as I have twice now had ants get into what was supposed to be an airtight container (2 different ones) wasting an almost full bag of dog food. I saw this and was sold. So far so good! We are past the ant infestation but I defy one to try to get in! It is a bit of a trick to get the lid back on, or maybe it's just me and my old hands, but I don't even care because I am so tired of ants!! I get an 18lb bag of food and was surprised I could shove the whole thing in so I didn't have to dump the food out into the container. Not sure a full 35 lbs would fit, but again, I put the bag in whole and space can be totally different when dumped in loose. I absolutely recommend this, and if anything should change my mind I will let you know! Happy to order from Chewy, best company out there!!

These are just as wonderful as the dog food containers are. I love the measuring cup with it as well.
Do NOT waste your money
One night outside and both were chewed all the way through. Might be okay if you keep them inside.
not 35lbs storage
Very confused. Description claims storage for 35lbs, but I just entries a brand new 30lb bag in it… and it’s filled to the brim
great but a few things about it
I have 3 of these and the first is 2 years old and functioning as designed, however I don’t believe they should be advertised for outdoor storage. I keep mine in my mud room and they do their job to satisfaction. It will keep the food fresh but any chewing pests would make short work of it as it’s only plastic.
Wrong Dimensions
This seems like a nice container, but it doesn’t fit in the space where I need to put it. The dimensions say 12” by 12” by 13.5”, but it’s actually about 17” tall and I was looking for something under 15”.
Great containers
I have two of these, and all the negative reviews on here seem to because people are using them incorrectly. It says pest proof, what they mean is insects and such. A rodent will chew through these, esp rats who if given enough time can and do chew through dry wall, wood, and even concrete, so these containers will be no match. It does take some shimmying to get bags of food into them but they're so good that it's something I'm willing to live with
Not for outside storage
I have Vittles Vaults for my dog food & cat food and I love them so I really thought these would be awesome. They're advertised as being usable for outside storage but they are definitely not as critter proof as they claim to be. although they do look very pretty on my balcony. Squirrels have chewed the lids apart though so I am going to have to replace the containers & then store them inside.
