Collar wouldn’t work in V mode (vibration) has not done anything to stop barking in 1-4. I have now set it to a 5, we’ll see if it even does anything. Very disappointed and want my money back this was definitely not cheap.
This bark collar was recommended to me by our dog's trainer after a 6-week board and train. The Garmin works very well to curb his barking, but there are a couple caveats: I need to use a butter knife to turn the intensity dial because that sucker does not budge. Also, sometimes when I'm removing the collar from my dog, it will "correct" him even though he didn't bark. I've found it is best used without any other collars, bandanas, jingly tags, etc. Remove the collar slowly while your dog is very still to best prevent a correction misfire. In all, I recommend this collar. It's the best on the market, though there is room for improvement.
This bark limiting collar is an excellent product. Works very well with our Husky. With varied settings its easy to choose which stimulus you want the dog to positively respond to.
worked good for about three months, now it doesnt mater what setting it shocks at random and at a high voltage. the last straw was when my wife was shocked turning it on and was holding it
The collar is a cheap plastic not the more substantial collar in the picture. It does take some time to get the location and tightness right. I do have to charge it each night. Her intense barking has turned into a woof woof then stops.
I purchased 3 of these collars and all 3 are the same. These collars are affective when the battery is charged, however that is short lived. The lithium battery is supposed to last 3 months, but I’m lucky if it last for 8-10 hours. I will charge it, put it on my dog and when I get home 9 hours later the light is flashing red and my dogs are barking and no correction is given. I find this very disappointing. Other lesser quality collars stay charged for weeks. I’m not happy I spent $300.00 on collars that don’t last a day.
I HAVE A SHOW DOG KENNEL THIS COLLAR DOESNT WORK! THE WORST
Living in a condo building with my rescue pup, this collar has been a godsend. I have a lab/cattle dog mix who alert barks every time she hears the neighbors in the hallway. She now knows not to bark, (or do the quite “boof” bark), at any little noise. I haven’t tried any of the automatic or zap functions, and we only use it indoors.
Love the ease of putting these collars on and off. A very excited dog can be a hand full if trying to adjust a collar.
This training collar is not consistent in its shock mode. It only has delivered a shock four times that we have observed and on three of these times, the dog was not barking but just sitting still. The dog does have some reduced barking activity when the collar is put on to the dog, having been shocked these few times. Very dissatisfied with this performance.
