I recently got this to for my Cane Corso puppy based on the fact that it says for giant breed in the description. It felt like a good quality toy. Once we put it to some tugging, found that what looks like a knot in the nylon pieces is just a band of material over the ends. Once that was pulled off there was a single stitch holding the whole thing together. This led to catastrophic failure within about a half hour. I wouldn't recommend this past a LG breed.
I bought two of these toys as Christmas gifts. The two recipients are quite different in terms of breed, size, age, and personality, but both dogs were enthusiastic about these Wubbas right from the start. A couple of weeks later, the toys are still intact. Great purchase!
We've had this toy for about a year and it is indestructable! Our two yorkies play tug of war with this toy all the time and it has never torn or frayed a single bit. Kong really makes some of the best & durable pet toys. And this small size was perfect for our 5 & 6 lb Yorkies.
My pup is a ridiculous chewer and it's always a struggle getting toys that last more than 5 minutes. This one did hold up a bit longer than other toys; but he did still make it through it after a day or so. If you have a mild chewer, they will get lots of use out of this toy. If your dog is like mine, just be prepared for it not to last to long.
I thought this would be tough enough for my 4mth old Great Dane pup. In less than 2 days it was dismantled and had to be tied back together. For less aggressive dogs
Not only is it bad quality but it may also not be a tugging toy at all. Maybe should be called FETCHA instead. Cause the name is misleading. It is definitely not for TUGGA time. Toy literally came undone and fell apart the third time we played with it. The center part is like twisted around a core and tucked in and sewed only at each end side. Meaning the entire middle part is able to become untwisted as you tugga back and forth with your dog. And eventually the ends untuck, they become a weak point and the thing unravels.
We have two medium size dogs that love to play tug a war and shred whatever it is they are fighting over to pieces. So for this has held up really well to the game. Im happy with the purchase and would recommend.
I have 7 dogs various breeds, sizes and age range 14yrs to 18months old. They are heavy chewers especially silly my big dogs. They all just love playing with the Tugga Wubba. They will pick it up by themselves and play with it.
I have 2 Yorkies under 5 lbs and it didn’t take long for them to find and destroy the seams. The rope section was also destroyed once they figured out they could pull the strings apart. Sad this didn’t last longer.
I purchased this for our 22 pound chihuahua mix. She loves to chew. I was greatly disappointed because in a matter of days she had the toy shredded. I am still picking up strings all over the house. I thought it would be tougher since it is a Kong. Perhaps a dog that is soft mouthed and just wants to retrieve would work, but not a chewer.
