Is this ramp suitable for use over steps so my dog can get in & out of house easier?

The Feather-Lite ramp may be placed over steps as long as it's secured at the bottom. The ramp is 72 inches long and features full-length rubber grippers on both ends for secure placement and safety tether latch to hold securely in place.

poor design

This ramp is not "feather light," nor do I find it well designed. The walking surface is on the outside when it's folded in half, so you can't balance the weight

This ramp is not "feather light," nor do I find it well designed. The walking surface is on the outside when it's folded in half, so you can't balance the weight on anything (like the bumper) when opening it up. That is awkward at best, and a strain on my back at worst, something a well designed ramp should eliminate. I think the surface is somewhat slippery, but that might be workable if the ramp were better designed.

Great purchase

Our 90lb Lab was having trouble getting into our SUV. This solved the problem. When it arrived we put it on the floor in a narrow hallway & got him to walk back

Our 90lb Lab was having trouble getting into our SUV. This solved the problem. When it arrived we put it on the floor in a narrow hallway & got him to walk back & forth with treat encouragement. The first time at the car he went right up. Folds up easy, lightweight, fits upright behind passenger seat.

It was a Great buy

I have a 82 lb boxer and with a little coaxing with treats she walked up and down ramp with no problem except a little sliding because of her nails on the surface

I have a 82 lb boxer and with a little coaxing with treats she walked up and down ramp with no problem except a little sliding because of her nails on the surface. Rectified that by glueing some carpet on it. Wish it were a little wider but all in all a great purchase. Very satisfied.

I got this ramp to use to load my corgi into my Ford Explorer. I put it on the ground as instructed and walked him across it before putting it on my vehicle. There was no learning curve. Red saw that ramp, and ran right up. Then he turned around and ran back down. He ran up and down at least a dozen times until I called a halt. He thought it was the best toy he’d ever seen.

Don't order this if your pet is over 80 pounds!

We ordered this for our 22 month old Labradoodle that weighs 80-85 pounds. The ramp arrived in the box the manufacturer had it in, i.e. no extra packaging and not

We ordered this for our 22 month old Labradoodle that weighs 80-85 pounds. The ramp arrived in the box the manufacturer had it in, i.e. no extra packaging and not enclosed inside another box with filler. The box had a hole in it, the ramp looked as if it had been used previously and returned. We decided to try it anyway. We started with it flat and had to give our dog treats to get on it (he didn't like the feel of the surface, which is like sandpaper). However, he loves treats and we were finally able to get him to walk on it. We then progressed to raising one end by putting it on our large footstool. With lots more treats and much coaxing we were able to get him to go up and down it. Then we moved outside to put it on the rear end of our SUV. And with lots more treats and much more coaxing, he finally went up the ramp. The ramp flexed a lot and we were not comfortable with it. The strap to tether the ramp to the bed of our SUV was way too long to latch it on anything we had in the SUV for that purpose and we couldn't shorten the tether either. In our opinion this ramp may be good for small to medium sized dogs but not for larger dogs.
