I got this for my dog as it was really hot and humid and wanted to give her something to help her keep cool. This ideally worked in the beginning but started to fall apart literally after two uses not sure if it was the way I was using it or because it completely dried out, but it did crack and start peeling apart, three stars

A great idea

Not sure how well this actually works. With the normal outside time during peak summer time, it appears that it is ok, did it extend their time before they started

Not sure how well this actually works. With the normal outside time during peak summer time, it appears that it is ok, did it extend their time before they started panting more, not sure. I do look forward to trying it out on walks and hikes.

There are only 2 drawbacks; the give off an unpleasant odor, and they stain white hair a rust color. The largest size actually fits my 150 lb Kengal, which is rare.

A dog has a rather inefficient cooling system compared to humans. As humans we sweat and the evaporation cools us on hot days, with low humidity. Dogs get rid of excess sweat by panting, and sweating through their paw pads...while wearing a fur coat! If you notice, dogs will dig out a cool place and lie in it. What is less on a dog's belly? FUR! Baby pools with cool water and toys work well, and lots of fresh water to drink. If it's humid, no evaporative cooling item will work properly on man or beast. Might be better to get a baby pool and floatable dog toys.

Cool

Works great but same issues as the precision two we got. Velcro is already really messed up. Won’t be long until it stops working.

Did my research. GF -"just wet & wring." Bought XL for my 84 pound pittie, here in Florida. DOES NOT EVEN GET SORT OF COLD. A WARM DAMP BANDANA. Wasted time & money

this color is easy to use and you can cool it in the freezer and then saturate it before placing on my dog. The thicker their fur is around the neck, the harder it is for it to cool but it does still have some impact

Maybe not for thicker fur

I have used this exact cooling collar before on my other dog with no undercoat and very thin short hair but it didn’t seem to penetrate my other dog’s thick undercoat

I have used this exact cooling collar before on my other dog with no undercoat and very thin short hair but it didn’t seem to penetrate my other dog’s thick undercoat and dense fur. His fur is short but dense, especially around his neck and I’m not sure this did much for him. It fit perfectly though. But I wish it had cooled him down better. Maybe I’ll try a vest instead.
