Great for hot dogs;)
I have a 70 plus pound black Lab who is always hot, winter or summer, and is probably the loudest panter on the planet ! This neck band is amazing. I've used it daily for the past week and he stops panting within minutes. I placed this on him after a long hike in the Colorado heat and it cooled him down very quickly, he stopped panting and enjoyed a cool nap. I will definitely buy this again, if needed. Just make sure to soak it really well for a minute or so. Once it's wringed out it does look like it still has dry patches but the band is so cold to the touch after being soaked, I don't think these spots matter. Great find and great price !
Fabric stuck onto itself
Both the first order and the replacement order I got were damaged. In both cases, it looked like the fabric had melted onto itself, and it was impossible not to make it more damaged when opening it. I appreciate Chewy's excellent customer service and refund, but don't bother with this one.
ICE band, really?
Thought there would be directions to put in freezer. But no, just wet and ring out. States it will keep dog cold.. Will cool dog for 6 hours, but in Desert temperatures in Las Vegas, it dries out before then. Can easily be reactivated by wetting and wringing out again. Do believe it will help.
Can’t Tell If It Works
Got it super fast after ordering. The product gets really cold and stays cold for a long time! I don’t know if it worked however since our pup was still panting, but it may have been due to her fur or her being nervous. We have a young adult shih tzu (16 lbs) and bought the small/medium size that fit her perfectly.
Basically a damp rag with Velcro
I have a tripawd and she doesn’t do well in the summer heat. I thought I would give this a try after reading some positive reviews. I followed the instructions, and it appeared to have no cooling effect - it was basically a damp rag with Velcro.
Good accessory
My dog wears this for a walk on super hot days - not sure if it helps cools her during the walk (that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). When we get home, I rinse it in cool water again and put it back on. I think it helps her cool down and relax much more quickly.
bad quality
The velcro shed. I found little bits of it in her fur, the carpet, and any place she laid. Very disappointed in the quality of this item.
Still out on how much it helps
Dibbz does not do well in heat and humidity. I have only had a few days where we start out on our walks at 75 degrees. We have been able to do 3 miles with the scarf, so at least it is not a fail. Hopefully we can walk the entire summer with this aid
Very cooling
My GS puppy loves this and so do I. So easy to use and put on. It does keep them cool. I am buying another one for a spare.
Falling part
I have only used this cooling bandana about 6 times and the inside material is disintegrating! Do not waste your money on this.
