I originally ordered the 4XL for my 86lb GSD. At 32" long, it was perfect lengthwise, but I didn't want to alter the legs which were way too baggy/long. So I sized down to a 3XL, which at 28" long covered less of his back slope or the top of his tail or his neck, but was perfect for the legth of his legs without needing to be rolled up, cuffed or altered. I knew I wouldn't get a custom fit, so I opted for the smaller size. Ideally, 30" long (rather than size 3X at 28" or 4X at 32") would have been perfect. I will update this review if this is genuinely waterproof once we have tested it in the rain or snow. It's kind of pricey for cheap nylon, but it fits over his head and it's super easy for him to get in and out of without even needing to use the zipper. It would be better if it also had a hood and a tail cover if the purpose is to actually keep the dog dry in the rain. His head and his bushy tail completely stick out, so he'll still get wet. I'm going to try to install a snap at the base of his bum to modify a tail cover from another sleeve, which still leaves his tushy exposed, so he can do his business while keeping his tail dry. But I'm going to use something I already own rather than pay another $100+ for matching material.
