Snug on a barrel chested hound

I fretted on what size to purchase, I opted for 3xl over the 4xl. My larger than normal Treeing Walker Coonhound is 78 pounds with a 34 inch chest at the largest

I fretted on what size to purchase, I opted for 3xl over the 4xl. My larger than normal Treeing Walker Coonhound is 78 pounds with a 34 inch chest at the largest point. Received the jacket today and it was already cooled which was neat. It was packaged in a nice ziplock plastic bag, I'm perplexed why it states in several places to throw that part away. As I put it on Copper, the seams begin to scream. All I could think about was the scene from Tommy Boy with the coat...it fit but was SNUG! Thankfully, I have two other hounds (not as chonky) that the vest will fit a bit looser. For reference, one hound is 66 pounds with a 30 inch chest and the other is 67 pounds with a 32 inch waist (snug around the neck on her).
