From good deal to poor choice
Funny color puppy pads. Black. The problem though is that the pee leaks onto the floor. You step in it before you see it. Yuck! We put newspapers under then over then added layers throughout the day. Still much easier just to use newspaper. The price was good except I got even better deal by enrolling in their timed delivery re-deliver of same. Unfortunately I tried to alter the new delivery date and they mailed another box out in 2 days. Got me!! I called to cancel . Now I’m stuck with using them up anyway. A real hassle. Won’t use em up for 4 -6 months. Our one little dog doesn’t drink much and goes outside twice a day. Live and learn . J
Puppy Potty Training
These worked great as far as keeping the pee from leaking through to the floor. If you stepped in a spot that the puppy had peed on, you could tell. It wasn't completely dry. I think they do a fine job, my main complaint is that since they are black, it's hard to tell if my puppy peed on them or not without having to touch the top of the pad or flip it over to feel if it's heavy or not. I'm undecided if I'll buy these again.
Glad Training pads
These are the best Pads I have ever used. I love my new pee pad holder I put one in the holder snap it shut and it's good for the whole day. No smell at all. SHe also does go to potty outside but I used to have to change those cheap thin pads 3 -4 times aday especially if she went in the house on rainy snowy days. I have never had one ever leak thru at all . She is a pug not a tiny dog. I have a very bad back and can't always take her out so these are just great. Carbon fights the smell.
These smell horrible!
I picked these because I was specifically looking for 23” square pads to fit a liner tray I have. Lots of brands are 23x22. (Why?) So they do get one star because they are the size I needed. These are supposed to be unscented, but with a pheromone attractant. THEY SMELL AWFUL!! Similar to old urine!? That’s the only way I can think to describe it. It took me months to figure this out. (My dog pees on the edge so sometimes messes still get on the floor. It can be a challenge to completely get rid of the odor. Just part of owning a dog. I really thought the smell was all coming from the floor and the silicone mat which tends to hold onto odors.) I just figured out the pads smell too! I tossed a fresh one in a backpack with some clean clothes and didn’t use it. Several days later, I opened the bag and couldn’t believe the smell. Sure enough it was the pad! I located one of our old brand that was still left and gave it a sniff and it did not have an odor at all. Whatever the pheromones are in these pads, they ARE scented. The carbon feature is absolutely useless when the product itself stinks. Not impressed with their rate of absorbency either. I wish I didn’t have so many of these left. Wasted money. I’ll have to try another brand.
Im training my 5yr old husky to use them occasionally. She loves them and got used to them rather fast. I make sure to lay down 6-9 of them for better coverage. We have a sunny balcony so they dry fast -since I tape them together, rolling them up is a breeze.
I had not seen these training pads in the stores, so it was a gamble on ordering, but I sure am glad I bought them! The carbon in the pad works relatively fast eliminating odor(s); and that is a win for me! Will be ordering again! Great buy! Well worth it!
Absorbs so well
I have to admit I was skeptical to buy this pad probably because of its color. PP pads are supposed to be blue right? These pads are very thin and I didn’t expect much from them. Wow, was I surprised. I have a senior cat that will stand in front of the litter box and pee heavily. Then she will try to hide her business by moving around the pad as if it were litter. The pad gets torn up but holds in all the urine. It’s not very pretty but it’s extremely effective and the price is better than the blue ones. Highly recommend this product.
The worst puppy pads I've ever used Thin and do not help the smell at all unless you count how many more times you have to change them They sounded great till you used them nothing what i thought they would be don;t buy them they don't work
I needed to buy puppy pads but there are so many out there that it can be confusing. I have never “loved” using them but it is a necessity. All the others are white and show the mess when they are used. Plus they tend to smell. These are perfect for my needs. They are dark and don’t show the yellow spots and I have not noticed the usual odor. The pads hold the liquid and don’t leak even when our foster dog gets a little too close to the edge. My dogs also go outside and don’t use the pads all the time, two are Chihuahuas and don’t like when it’s cold or wet, so I can’t comment on how they would hold up under constant use. But I like them and will buy this kind again when I need more.
Leak through the bottom of pad
As far as odor control these are the best I’ve tried. However, they leak. The pad sits on a plastic tray and you can see the wet spot on the tray where my chihuahua went potty. Not sure what good a potty pad is if it leaks. My dog is 3 lbs. This would be a nightmare with a bigger dog. There are no adhesive tabs either which can be a problem. Unfortunately, I haven’t found something that hides the odor as well.
