Where is this gate made? What kind of wood?

The opening we need to gate is 58 inches from post to post on a outdoor staircase. I'm reading that the wood contracts when wet. With only 2 inches to spare on a 5 for gate, should I go up a size? If there is too much extra length does it weaken the gate?

Can you adjust the gate to touch the floor? My little dogs can crawl right through this, as pictured.

You can adjust this gate to touch the floor.

Does this gate get screwed to the wall on both sides?

One side of the gate screws into the wall. The other side has two eye hooks screwed into the wall to lock the gate into position.

It works perfect it keeps Laddie where he is safe.

The way it is made Laddie doesn't try and jump it. Gates which have a straight bar across the top he will jump.
