Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
Machine wash toy when soiled. Air dry.
My 5 year old Lab loves all of the GoDog toys. She loves them so much that she rips them apart if given the chance. As soon as she goes into her chew mode, I remove the toy and give her a Kong. She proudly trots around with this dragon in her mouth. She even carries it outside to go potty. She loves to squeak it. My recommendation to anyone with an active chewer is to supervise when they have this because my girl could destroy it in an hour if given the chance.
Generally speaking, my dog hasn’t been allowed to have toys with any sort of fabric or rope; not only does he destroy them, but he also swallows a lot of it. I put a moratorium on any and all “soft” toys to prevent him from developing a bowel obstruction. That said, now that he’s a little bit older (about 2 yrs old) I wanted to try reintroducing them. For Christmas I gave him this dragon and he. fell. in. love. I don’t know what it is about this toy, but he hasn’t even ripped it yet in the 2 months he’s had it. Yes, it’s more durable than the average plush toy, but it is by no means indestructible. If he wanted to shred it he could, probably pretty quickly. Instead, it has become his go-to cuddle buddy! Occasionally he roughhouses with it, so it definitely can withstand rough play better than the average plush toy. As a pet parent, I really like that the entire toy isn’t filled with stuffing since that means less mess when it eventually falls apart.
I don't know what you put in this toy 😉, but my dog LOVES this toy! She goes nuts for it: tossing it in the air to catch, rolling all over it, shaking it. Our family calls it "crack dragon" because she loves it so much and can't get enough! I will definitely be buying another when she wears out this one.
GoDog does it again! My 40lb Border Collie loves to make a hole in toys and pull out all the stuffing, this toy has a floppy low stuff body that still holds a nice shape and doesn't get fluff everywhere. It's also nice that he can have a larger toy that's still easy to grip. He loves to toss it around and play tug with it. He also loves to chew on the ears, nose and back ridge scales with his back teeth. He's had this for a few months and its held up well. Most other toys would have been shredded by now or I would have to sewed closed a few times. Will purchase again.
We got this toy when our husky/lab mix was around 11 weeks old. She is 1 now and we’ve added a 2 year old staffy/pit mix to the pack and this toy has held up!! No holes, no rips, nothing! I’ve wasted so much money replacing toys that I’ve stopped buying them all together unless they are specifically made for super chewers or extreme play and this cute little dragon has been a favorite since day one! I will definitely keep buying this brand. Highly recommend.
No match for my lab. 3 days of limited supervised play and my 50lbs lab put 2 holes through the reinforced mesh. I was really hoping it would have a little longer life since my dog loves to shake and flail her toys.
1 year old Mini Doxi loves this brand of toy! This specific dragon is actually the perfect size for him to carry around without tripping and can easily carry it up his ramp and into bed! Highly recommend for plush toy fur pluckers, tag or protruding part chewer! This material is impossible to pluck and will not end up all over your floors! Extremely cute design as well. Very satisfied by this brand for the third time and ordering more!
Okay, listen we all know we want that perfect toy. The dream toy. One that no dog rips to shreds. This one is not it. Not sure one is out there. Toys are meant to be used with supervision just like with a human toddler. That being said I've got a little 9lb miniature dachshund that I need to post a photo of with this toy. She is so attached to this one toy I've bought 10. Yes, 10 needed spares. I'm terrified of the day when I can not replace it. She has a routine, at 8:00 pm it's potty time she knows this and runs out. This is the only and I mean only time she will run out to use the bathroom with lightning speed. She will then fly past everyone and anything in her way to make it to the master bedroom. There is her ramp to the bed. Up that ramp her dragon awaits and she runs up grabs it then will run down the ramp through the house showing everyone her dragon. And that it is also time for all to get to bed so she and her favorite dragon can go to bed. She licks that dragon for an hour and yes chews it. Then realizes uhoh she's chewed it and stops. But over time the damage is done. Little holes become larger ones and let me tell you it's tough to trick her into the new one. She knows it's not the same. But after a few nights of looking for her old pal she gives in. I've tried many other ones to replace these dragons nothing works. So for those upset it did not work for your pet. I'm sorry. For us, this dragon has given us more joy then you'll ever know. As I got my little baby dachshund one month after the passing of my daughter. Watching this dachshund carry this dragon about as big as her heals my heart more every day. So tonight I'm ordering yet another dragon. For yet more dragon bedtimes are yet to come.
I got this for my puppy as he loves plushies and such but chews holes in them so was hopeful for something more durable. It looked like it had hope and I gave it to him, I left the room for only two minutes and when I came in he had already taken a leg off and was on to another one. Wished it would have lasted a little longer than two minutes especially with “special chew guard technology”.
My dog Levi is 3 lbs. and he LOVES his dragon!!! After about 5 years of being carried about and having been the object of tug a war by furry friends, it’s time for a new replacement.
