Is it correct that the coat does not have a slit so I could attach the leash to my pup’s harness?

This product does not have a slit for attaching a harness; however, this product does come with an attached D-ring so that it can double as a harness.

Is the coat waterproof, or nylon ? Does the lining have cotton fleece?

Whats the weight for x-large

Gooby products are geared towards small dogs. Therefore, a size large doesn't necessarily mean it is for the larger breeds. Their sizing is based on the dog's chest, neck, and length measurements rather than the weight. Please check the size charts for an accurate fit.

Does this work for male dogs. Will it get peed on?

Good quality vest

I love this little vest! It has a nice fleece inner lining that seems to keep my little guy warm. I chose this one because it had an outside hook which is more convenient

I love this little vest! It has a nice fleece inner lining that seems to keep my little guy warm. I chose this one because it had an outside hook which is more convenient that having to put the vest over his regular harness. As a reference, my Maltese is 7.5 lbs and this picture was the initial one I bought in a size medium. I had to exchange it for a small because the length didn't clear his little pee-pee...lol. The small is a tad snug but he doesn't seem to mind. The exchange process was very smooth and Chewy suggested I donate the original vest, which I did. One thing I can say is I have always had excellent customer service whenever I call. Thank you Chewy staff!
