Older dog is warmer now

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this vest, since it was so reasonably priced. The zipper down the back makes putting it on and taking it off SO easy

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this vest, since it was so reasonably priced. The zipper down the back makes putting it on and taking it off SO easy. I ordered this one and the lighter weight all fleece vest from the Gooby brand. This one will be great when it gets really cold for our older dog who has very short hair. The lighter weight fleece has already come in handy; we've been using it as a surgical vest to keep our other younger dog from messing with her stitches. It's already been washed a couple times and it's holding up fine with no shrinkage. I am scratching my head that my 50 pound slender pitbull-boxer mixes took a XXL size but the sizing was exactly what the measurement chart recommended.

Even the XXL too small for our 65 lb dog

Not sure what Gooby considers standard, but after ordering a larger (way too small), I moved up to an XXL (also too snug; couldn't zip it up!). Our dog is 65 lbs

Not sure what Gooby considers standard, but after ordering a larger (way too small), I moved up to an XXL (also too snug; couldn't zip it up!). Our dog is 65 lbs and has a 29" girth. Bummer because it's super cute and seems well-made.

It was easy to put on.

The fit was perfect. I like the zipper on the top of the vest and there are no velcro strips that eventually wear out.
