Crucial piece is wrong size

First, Chewy customer service is AWESOME. They replaced this cat tree for free when I had this issue, and refunded me when I had the exact same issue with the replacement. Second,

First, Chewy customer service is AWESOME. They replaced this cat tree for free when I had this issue, and refunded me when I had the exact same issue with the replacement. Second, I don't recommend this tree at all because as you can see in the photo, the platform piece is shorter than the base of the tree, which means that the platform can't connect to the posts that it needs to. It might be possible, in theory, to drill your own holes in the platform to match the posts, but the holes would be very close to the edges of the platform, and this is at the very bottom of the tree, so it's very much a crucial part of the structure. The manufacturer just needs to change the size of the platform piece so it is the same width as the base, which is how it is shown in the photos for this tree.
