My mare is high energy and generally needs to "work" 4-5 days a week to not be jumping and speeding around the paddock. She hurt her leg almost 2 months ago and I started using this to help keep her calm. The bucket says it's one scoop, once a day. So that's what I did. She seemed better but was still playing up. I saw after a few weeks that the scoop is designed for 1000lbs. My mare is around 1250 (based on a horse scale and the ER one time). So, I started to give her just under half a scoop twice a day and she evened right out.

Ordered this for my headstrong mare. She seems to like it mixed in with her normal grains. It doesn't have a strong smell. It comes with a scoop for easy measuring and the instructions are clear on the side. the best part is it has a short ingredient list and isn't full of a bunch of chemicals that I don't know what they are. Still unsure about the calming effects as I've only used it twice, but hopefully it works!

I used it for two weeks, stopped for a week and resumed use for a week. There is a perceptible difference in her reactivity. Science works. This is especially noticeable when introducing new things to her. I deliberately used Calm with introducing the hoof boss trimmer tool)and electric tiny chainsaw for hoof trimming that is loud and vibrates). The first time I tried, she broke one of the stall ties. With the second into&Calmz she was still anxious but her brain was more engaged and it went so much smoother. The effect is not sedative at all, just an overall decrease in reactivity and increase in thinking. I’m loving this

I’m very pleased with the Grand Calm horse supplement. One of the first things that caught my attention was the ingredient list. Unlike many other horse supplements, Grand Calm doesn’t contain a bunch of strange additives. Given that animal supplements aren’t regulated like human ones, it’s crucial to be vigilant about what goes into them. When I was a new horse owner I didn't know about lack of regulation on animal supplements. Over the years, I’ve come across all sorts of odd ingredients in other products—like marigolds, (natural pesticide), and yucca is common, which, unfortunately, made my horse worse instead of better. Thankfully, Grand Calm avoids all that and focuses on what really matters. The key ingredients, magnesium and thiamine, are both backed by science. Magnesium is known to help both humans and horses calm down, while thiamine supports brain health. It works and the horse actually eats it without hesitation. The crumbly pellets provide a great mouthfeel, making it more appealing for picky eaters. Horses can be quite particular about powders sprinkled on their feed, and if they won't eat it, its of no good. Powders also tend to fall to the bottom of the feed pan and horses aren't going to lick that up so its a waste. Plus, you only need to feed one scoop a day, which not only makes it efficient (saving time) but also helps save on costs—especially when every dollar counts. If you board and have to prepackage your supplements, pellets make it easier and less wasteful to separate into individual portions. When switching supplements, I always look for gradual improvement without a dramatic drop in efficacy during the transition. I’m happy to report that I didn’t experience any fall-off when moving from my previous supplement to Grand Calm. In fact, I started to see an improvement shortly after switching, which is exactly what I look for when changing supplements.

This product definitely works as advertised. It takes the edge off, even for my mare in fall, who has quite the personality as the temps drop. The pellets are easy to mix into grain and it must taste pretty good, as my horse was willing to eat it on its own. It's just a bit on the expensive side.

My mare is always on high alert. I trail ride regularly and she is always looking for trouble. She has been taking this for about 10 day's now, and although still high energy the last couple of rides she has seemed much more relaxed, even my riding partner noticed. She is very nervous trailering, and will be moving in about a month. I'm hoping this will help. So far I really think its working. I'm impressed, and you have a nervous horse, I'd recommend you give it a try.

I tried this for my two horses for a week to see if it would help when riding. They are both high go horses. I was hoping it would calm them so they could focus. I did not see a change in either of them with this product. It was easy to give them and dissolve in their feed .

I like the pellet form it was easy to mix with my old pony feed and she didn’t seem to mind. My pony was a rescue pony and she’s around 30. She doesn’t enjoy being caught and it’s always a challenging. This definitely seem to calm her enough, that I was able to halter her without a bunch of drama.
