Not worth it.
It’s definitely fragrant green hay, but the pieces are overall very small and wispy. No long pieces, just an inch or two each, very soft and not substantial. My guinea pigs aren’t super interested in it, leaving a lot behind. Had to go buy another brand next day to keep them fed. Mainly just makes a mess because of small pieces, too much dust. Wouldn’t recommend it for the price vs quality. Says it’s two five pound bales, but each one really isn’t even bigger than the 40 oz bags from other brands, so I don’t know about that. Won’t buy again.
Grandpa’s best
I love this hay! I’ve tried 4 different brands and this is hands down the best. Easy to store. Easy to use with less mess or waste. Best of all my Guinea loves it. I just have to figure out the appropriate amount to purchase at one time.
Convenient, but bunny won't eat
The packaging and size of this hay is very convenient and neater than the bigger boxes of loose hay. It fits well in the wooden hay feeder I made for my rabbit. Unfortunately, she won't eat this hay! My rabbit is getting fussier as she gets older and simply refuses to eat the hay. She made a mess by pulling all of the hay out of the feeder and spreading it all over the floor. I am back to searching for hay that she will eat and is in stock...
Prompt, high quality small animal hay
My order shipped and arrived within three days. I bought the two five pound bale box. Both bales are compact, light green with large stems and little dust, as well as a strong fresh smell.
Grandpa's Hay
I have really liked the quality of the hay its fresh green color and seeds that our Guinea pigs love it and act as if its a treat. I usually get the 10 pound mini bale but they were out of stock and had to purchase the 5 pound mini bale which was not as good because it was mainly small pieces that were maybe at the bottom that had been crushed. I'm hoping that its just a bad couple of batches that I purchased. I would have given them a 5 star rating !

Loving this new hay! Very green and fresh! My Hollyn lop, Mr. Magoo has been suffering a Gastro intestinal issue and is on strictly hay and water. After several months, and protesting for treats, keep it going to slow down his eating so we decided to switch hey. I am glad we chose this one because both bunnies absolutely love it and can’t get enough! Since Magoo has been eating his new hay his Gastro intestinal issue seems to be clearing up. Also, the small bales are perfect size for apartment living.

There is way more hay then you think it is compressed. My bunnies love it!
Love this hay!
My bunny mom used to buy me a different hay. I wasn't too crazy about it and probably didn't eat as much as I should. She decided to buy this kind. I started enthusiastically eating what she dropped while putting it in my hay feeder. LOVE my new hay!!
Guinea pigs wont eat
Both of my guinea pigs would not eat this. It looks nice and fresh but for some reason they wouldnt touch it....thats why I hate trying mew hay, its expensive and usually a waste!
