Grandpa's Best hay is RHDV safe. The general consensus based on studies is that any hay stored three (months) away from any elements, pests, and animals is RHDV/RHDV2 safe. Grandpa's Best have made a commitment that all their hay is stored for a minimum of five (5) months to ensure they minimize the chance of any transference. They've educated all their employees on RHDV safety and have a commitment to stay abreast of any new RDHV news.

Quality hay, pieces small for hanging feeder Rating 3.5

I like that it is compressed and the last few times I have gotten it the hay seems a decent quality. The pieces are a bit small so if you use a hanging metal basket feeder, put a bowl or something under it to catch all the pieces. I am finding it more efficient to feed this hay in a bowl instead to avoid all the waste. I also recommend fluffing it out in a larger bag to avoid waste too - I seem to go through this more quickly than 10lbs of uncompressed hay.

Straw.

This hay is golden like straw. No fragrance. Very stemy. Rabbits won't eat it.
