So, not ideal for cats who lick everything?

This Animal First Aid is completely safe if pet happens to lick or eat ointment. The manufacturer does recommend to watch over pet in case of any upsets, just in case pet happens to have an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients.
Is this just for first aid or can it be used daily for dry paw pads as well?

This salve has a variety of uses and helps temporarily relieve symptoms associated with frostbite, cuts, scrapes, blisters, abrasions, irritations, rashes, cracked paws, dry noses and insect bites. The herbs, oils, and beeswax are ideal for absorbing into skin, but may take a second longer to soak in. Use as much as you think you might need. If you need more, use more.
Is it safe for dog to ingest this product.

This first aid is not meant for consumption. This product is supposed to heal cuts and skin irritations.
can this be used around the eyes

When using this product, keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove.
