changed the materials and now they're terrible

i used these to line the floors around my rabbits' litterboxes (they are wonderfully territorial and love to pee at each other) and the first few batches i bought

i used these to line the floors around my rabbits' litterboxes (they are wonderfully territorial and love to pee at each other) and the first few batches i bought were great - plastic waterproof backing under a cotton top, but now it's a fuzzy polyester top (which is like velcro for stray bits of hay) and bottom, so no more waterproof liner and it's a nightmare trying to get all the hay unstuck from the top. whyyyyyy did they change the design, it was perfect before, but now it's terrible.

Before I got these, I was going through boxes of disposable pads, for my 20 yo cat with hyperthalmus. Straight to the landfill, smelly trash can. I got this pack of 4 heavy duty reusable pee pads a couple a weeks ago. I wash 3-4 pads daily rn, They fully hold the pee, wash thoroughly, no smell, dry quickly. The size is perfect for her area. This has been a huge help in managing her care, improves both her and my quality of life.
