I thiught these would be mych better for my senior small dog and ahe does like them. But I cannot believe all the ingredients just tomake a dog chew! Wheat is the first and it's a very high allergen. Then I saw chicken farther down. My fault for not checking before ordering! Greenies keep our dogs tethered to the worst allergens! No innovation that's healthier. They just don't care. They used to have grain free but discontinued those. The name Greenies has become a very big no no to me!

Dog recently had major dental extractions and original greenies may be too tough on her so I opted for these softies. Dog loves them but really, these are not a substitute for brushing a dogs teeth by hand. Breed matters, and gum disease is something not to ignore, but after 14 yrs of eating these greenie treats, it still amounted to having many teeth extracted. Don’t buy into any claims of any miracle teeth cleaning ability of any treat, it may only be very, very minimal cleaning at best. Since no chew will sufficiently clean dogs teeth, an annual gum exam dog will indicate a need for a proper deep clean by the vet every couple years. Yes the greenies are good but don’t rely on them as a substitute for brushing or at least wiping goop off their teeth, a cotton pad will do as I was told by vet.
