Sambo is enthralled with his new water fountain. I prefer it much more than plastic, the bacteria build up is far less. There are things I really dont care for...the auto function does not work when the pump is plugged in, it's either on all the time or turned off. The auto function is OK but I was under the assumption that the flow was constant and the water was always being filtered. But so far so good - it's still relatively new.

Nice but not durable

I really liked this water filter, but it only lasted 6 months before the pump quit working. I cleaned it thoroughly once a week, changed the filter, and inspected

I really liked this water filter, but it only lasted 6 months before the pump quit working. I cleaned it thoroughly once a week, changed the filter, and inspected everything. However, after six months, all I have is a large stainless steel water bowl, and unfortunately, they don't sell a replacement pump. Pretty sad, that is why it only gets 3 stars.

Stopped working 5 months in

I really liked this fountain when I got it. Loved the option for cordless, and the battery lasted forever. I only had to charge it twice in five months. Unfortunately

I really liked this fountain when I got it. Loved the option for cordless, and the battery lasted forever. I only had to charge it twice in five months. Unfortunately the sensor stopped working so the water wouldn't flow. Chewy's customer service was very nice and helpful in the matter, but I would expect to get more than a few months of use from a water fountain!

This water fountain was great and worth the price. It worked fine for a few weeks then just stopped. I called Chewy's customer service and the representative was so nice and helpful; she emailed me a shipping label for me to return it and then ordered a new fountain sent. I received the fountain in 3 days and it's working perfectly, my dog and 2 cats love it. (although my 2 cats love playing with it batting the water with their paws and getting the floor wet). What so impressed me about this experience it that Chewy stood by what they sold me; I was expecting to have to fight to get satisfaction which happens a lot these days but, nope, the representative took care of my problem and I was off the phone in short, short time. I love shopping at Chewy's!

The battery needs recharging daily. The pump barely works even on a full charge. I suspect it was refurbished as the packaging was not on the manufacturer packaging

While this fountain does work as advertised, I wish I had known the following before ordering: - The minimum amount of water required for the pump to pull it up

While this fountain does work as advertised, I wish I had known the following before ordering: - The minimum amount of water required for the pump to pull it up is about 8 cups. We give our cat "the good water" that is delivered to our house, and this is more than I want to be providing each day, since most will be discarded. - Even though it has a filter, the fountain needs to be cleaned daily to prevent it from becoming slimy. The filter is not very substantial, and does not do anything to remove bacteria from the water. - The filters should be replaced weekly, and only one filter comes with the unit. So ongoing purchases of filters is required. - After we stopped using the fountain, we started using a small casserole dish as a water dish, and our cat loves it -- I think the problem was that it bothered her whiskers to put her face in a small conventional water bowl, and while the drinking fountain solved this for her, so does the casserole dish. The folks at Chewy could not have been nicer about giving me a refund, so if you're thinking of trying the fountain, there is no risk.
