Ok but not safe

A bit awkward. I tried to use this in a doorway but it had too much room for push and would have been dangerous to use in the end because of an elevation change

A bit awkward. I tried to use this in a doorway but it had too much room for push and would have been dangerous to use in the end because of an elevation change. I was concerned about my dogs getting hung up, strangulation, falling down the stairs, etc. The casing is also very bulky.

The gate looks great and was a great idea BUT the bottom of the gate is EXTREMELY loose - you can lift it up at least 6 inches from the ground which means that your

The gate looks great and was a great idea BUT the bottom of the gate is EXTREMELY loose - you can lift it up at least 6 inches from the ground which means that your dog can get their head under it (and strangle) or if you have a puppy, they will fit right under it. There is a spring and tension to adjust the top part of the gate, but not corresponding tension adjustment for the bottom. I reached out to the company for any advice, but they do not respond.

Why didn't I buy this sooner?!?

I have been struggling with my dog wandering off to my neighbor's despite a short wall. I didn't want to go back to the invisible fence with an 11 year old dog

I have been struggling with my dog wandering off to my neighbor's despite a short wall. I didn't want to go back to the invisible fence with an 11 year old dog. I purchased two of these retractable gates, had a contractor help me install them (we had to build a shim to attach them) and they now contain my dog. For me, the installation, while very well explained in the instructions, could not have happened without paying someone to help me as I am not super handy with carpentry.
