Each dog needs their own Halo Collar, but all dogs can be managed through one account in the Halo Collar app. Each collar can use all Halo Fences that are created and can be turned on/off for each dog without affecting the other dog(s) on your account.

I recently purchased one the Halo 5 dog collars, and I was really impressed! The design is great, and it fits my dog comfortably without any irritation. The GPS and virtual fence features are impressive. The only thing that occurred for us was figuring out some very minor issues we had setting up the Halo 5 collar. But rest assured help is always there for you with their very nice customer service reps. It’s not a deal breaker it’s just that I was new to tracking devices. Once we got the minor issues worked out it was easy! It’s great knowing that I can track Archies location and set boundaries. The collar is durable and weather resistant, which is terrific. Battery life is also excellent it lasts for several days on a single charge, making it perfect for everyday use and long trips. The The Halo 5 dog collar is a great purchase for any pet owner looking to not have to worry about their dog’s safety and freedom!

This collar has potential to be great. Pros: allows the dog the freedom to roam. It’s fairly easy to set up and use Cons: it connects to WiFi but switches to satellite outside. This causes lag time and if you have a runner, it opens a window! It also has a monthly fee. Lastly, creating the actual boundaries are done by drawing it. I wish you could physically walk to create the boundary instead. Drawing it and then relying on the gps/map to be accurate by following a moving pin when setting up isn’t the easiest route, especially with large properties but still having danger zones such as busy roads. In the end, we ended up returning it. The monthly fee in addition to the cost was not worth it. Our dog is not a runner. I just wanted something to keep him safely in a zone. We went another route.

Wow! Lots of terrific options & customizations

Before selecting this item, I read the description to see if it was a shock collar but it didn't say - I thought there's no way Cesar Milan would design or endorse

Before selecting this item, I read the description to see if it was a shock collar but it didn't say - I thought there's no way Cesar Milan would design or endorse shocking a dog! And he doesn't! The collar is heavier/more substantial than the product photos show (see my pics) and it has 3 different settings for training your dog to respect the geo-fencing you set up - a beeping sound, vibration and then what is described as a tap on the shoulder. Just starting to train one of our dogs with it (it's recommended to do 15 - 20 mins a day until the dog gets it) only using the 1st 2 options. It's full of all kinds of features and there are a lot of videos you can watch on youtube about that which i'd recommend doing. 4 stars instead of 5 because it's definitely bulkier/weightier than depicted so I think it'd be best for meduim large to large dogs.

The Halo Collar 5 is solid overall. The collar style looks great, and my dog doesn’t seem to mind wearing it, which is a big win. I really like the wireless fencing feature once you get it set up, it’s awesome having those boundaries without needing a physical fence. The location tracking is also reassuring to have just in case. That said, the battery life is low. The collar dies faster than I expected, so you’ll need to stay on top of charging it. The app feels a bit clunky at first, and there’s definitely a learning curve before everything starts to feel smooth. Overall, it’s a useful tool with some cool features, but the battery and app experience could see improvements

Unfortunately it's a little large for my dog so we tried it, but it was difficult to make sure the collar stayed on to work properly. The app is very nice with several features like creating your own digital fences, health monitoring, and support. I thought the image of the property would be more clear to draw your own fence but it's not. However, in the plus side, you can walk your dog around to design your fences! Cool product despite any cons I mentioned!

This is a very interesting product but due to some family health issues, we haven't had much of a chance to work with it yet. We have two dogs: a peaceful 5 year old Sheep-a-doodle and a very active 10 month old Woodle, (Wheaten Terrier/poodle). We will be working with the Woodle to see if it will keep her contained. I wish I could give a more detailed review but at this time we simply haven't been able to work with it. Our apologies.

I received this Halo Collar 5 New Wireless Waterproof Plastic Dog Fence & GPS free to try. This is a really nice collar. I received the yellow Sunburst color which is a nice neutral color. And it fit my dog's neck really well. The collar feels like it is made of good quality material, and I love that it is waterproof. We live in MI and get A LOT of snow which my pittie loves to play in, roll around in, etc. We live in a pretty rural area so I was worried about the GPS but it is working pretty good so far. It is connecting with the app great, and I LOVE this can be taken elsewhere. I think the best part is that if my dog would happen to get loose we can easily track her. Training her was pretty easy, lucky pitties love to learn and so she caught on quickly. I like the static vs a shock. Charging is quick (around an hour) and lasts about 2 days. Set up wasn't super easy, but it's not that hard. The only thing I dislike is the subscription can cost up to $20 but you can add on another collar for only an extra $5 a month, plus the subscription at all levels does include a discount on upgrades and replacements. Currently we are only using this on one of our pitties, the one who likes to run, but are considering getting another for our other since the add on subscription isn't bad.

This was very easy to set up. The collar sits comfortably on Tarvos. He does not seem to mind it. With the Halo app, it has many helpful videos and very detailed maps. What I wish it did more of monitor his health and not only when you start a walk. As we do on our wrist devices as humans. Other than the health function, if your pet runs a lot or a puppy the invisible fences work wonders

Using the halo collar 5, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief if my pup were to get away from me. My dog is tough to walk on a leash as he loves to try to chase cars despite working to correct the behavior and this collar at least gives me peace of mind that should he slip out of the house by accident, that I have a way of ensuring his safety with this collar that is programmed to keep him within my yard.

Happy to be a part of reviewing such a fine collar. This a a great collar for all kinds of things. Containment- easy to set up virtual fences and to edit the same fences in the app. Spot on with warnings and breaches. Very consistent with following my dog. Training- I've always trained my dogs to walk off leash, this collar helped with that training as the "whistle" you can send to collar is very similar to the one I use when calling my dog back. He learned very quickly to come back when I used virtual whistle. Breaches-On Thanksgiving I went to my nephews house for dinner. Before I let I put his address into a virtual fence and it immediately surrounded his property with a fence which I turned on before I arrived. I walked to my car with him and as soon as gate left the gate, the collar whistled and got his attention and then alerted both the collar and my phone to the warning and the breach. Taking an off leash walk around the neighborhood was awesome, easy to see where my Weimaraner always was. And if you know anything about the breed, you know they are active and curious. Will never lose him with this collar. Highly recommended!!
