Halo Elevate Kettle Cooked Chunky Healthy Grains Duck & Beef Stew with Carrots, White Potatoes & Brown Rice Wet Dog Food, 12.7-oz can, case of 6

When I opened the can, I was surprised by what the contents looked like. While I could see carrots in it, there were no discernible pieces of potatoes or the brown rice. In it were these weird looking pieces of meat that didn't look like beef or duck floating in a lot of liquid. Add to it that it's only 6 cans for the price, makes this item totally not worth it.

I picked this wet food for my 3 dogs because I like to make sure they are eating a quality food with real ingredients listed, not just a bundle of filler garbage. This food sounded very promising and it definitely delivered. My dogs do not like paté so the chunky stew was perfect for them. There are large pieces of meat in the cans, along with lots of visible vegetables. The only one who had a problem was my pug. She does not like to get her face dirty so she didn't want to dig through the broth/liquid garby part of the wet food to get the chunks. I also had to break up the meat chunks for her because they were so big. I would say that the contents of all three cans looked different upon opening. One had more liquid, the other had more rice and one had more veg. I waited to post my review as sometimes new wet food will upset the two littles dogs belly but so far so good with this food. I will most definitely be purchasing again.
