So Far So Good
I had been feeding them the same food for years with no issues and then all of a sudden they stopped eating. I wanted something with really good ingredients so I decided to try this brand. So far they are eating again and their has been no transition issues. Better stools and no vomiting. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is it's so expensive for a very small bag. I have 2 dogs so I had to buy 2.
The Best For My Best
My Yorkies are hands down my bestfriends and as a breeder, Halo is the only brand I recommend. I love that the first 4 ingredients on the label are ingredients that I feed to my not so furry kids: boneless chicken, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and chickpeas. Other dog food brands, have ingredient names that I don't recognize and wouldn't feel comfortable feeding my children, why would I feel okay about giving that to the fur babies? We usually feed Holistic Cage-Free Chicken & Brown Rice Small Breed Dog Food, but after giving this new recipe a try, this is taste-preferred by the doggies. I mixed the two recipes together, and everyone kept picking out the Chicken and Sweet Potato Recipe bits and spitting out the others now! This is the wolfpack's favorite apparently, and mumma is okay with it!
Great grain-free product
Great grain-free option for your pup. We tried the chicken and sweet potato for small breeds and it was a hit. Sometimes the better for her food is hard to get her to try. This was different, no problems with the change in food or finishing at meal times. I noticed a positive digestive change as far as potty time, way less shoo-wees! LOL. I also noticed her coat had a little more shine, the natural ingredients actually seemed to help the dry skin even. We will be halo Brand buyers from now on! Bring on the cat food next!!

As a dog owner, I'm always looking for the best possible food for my furry friend, and after trying Halo Holistic Complete Digestive Health Grain-Free Chicken & Sweet Potato Dog Food Recipe, I can say that I'm pretty happy with it. What I appreciate most about this dog food is that it's grain-free and made with high-quality ingredients, including real chicken and sweet potatoes. It's also packed with prebiotics and probiotics to support digestive health, which is crucial for my dog's overall well-being. While my dog seems to enjoy the taste and the small kibble size is great for her small mouth, I have to admit that the price is a bit on the high side. Small bites, big flavor!
I transitioned my dogs (Boston Terriers, one young adult and one senior) to Halo Holistic Complete Digestive Health Grain-Free Chicken & Sweet Potato Dog Food Recipe Small Breed Dry Dog Food over the course of about a week, and I have so far been quite impressed! They normally have sensitive tummies, but this food (which they are eating fully now for their meals) hasn’t caused one issue with vomiting or diarrhea. I love that it has ingredients that are healthy, like real chicken and sweet potato, and these are the first ingredients listed, plus even more veggies and no artificial ingredients or byproducts! It even has pre- and probiotics and vitamins and minerals to support things like healthy digestion and muscle maintenance. The kibble pieces are nice and tiny, and they are easy to chew, even for my nearly toothless senior pup. The aroma of the kibble wasn’t overwhelming to the human nose, and my dogs went crazy for it during mealtime, licking their bowls clean (which isn’t always the case, especially for my notoriously picky pup). Even better, the chicken in this kibble is animal welfare certified, making me feel even better about my choice to feed Halo. This was one of my first experiences with Halo, but based on how great this kibble has been, I can’t wait to explore other products! I did receive a sample bag of Halo in exchange for my review, but the opinions expressed are 100% my own and honest!
Dog loves this healthy food!
My dog is usually quite the picky one let me tell you that! To my surprise, she really responded well to this! I only added and gradually increased to give her time to adjust and she was continuously spitting her other kibble on the floor and wanting only this so there you have it! She loves this food and finally eats like she enjoys it with her new healthier food. I like that it’s healthy and gives her the nutrition she needs.
Finn loved it!
Finn was having some digestive problems prior to trying the Halo holistic dry dog food. The transition to the new food was easy, he loved it immediately and within days his stool was back to be solid. He normally takes all day to eat his food but with Halo Holistic there was no waiting around. This will be his new food going forward.
So good but
OK let me just start by saying that this food is awesome! The ingredients are wonderful. However, I have a 14 year old dog, who is very stubborn and very picky. With that being said, she does not like trying new things and would not try this new food. I’m super bummed out because it’s so much better than the food she was previously eating, but she just wasn’t having it.
My pup loves this!
I followed the recommend introduction of this new food mixed in with my dogs current food. She responded well to the switch. I have not noticed any stomach issues or gas since switching over completely. She loves it and eats this plain or mixed with a little wet food. I hope this food combined with her daily vitamins will continue to support improved overall health.

They are 9 and 3 with a difference in weight of 20 pounds and they both love it! The small bites are also great to use for training treats. We highly recommend this for healthy, happy pups!
