Halti Brand always seem to come through. PeanutButter, of course, does not like to be on a leash or a lead, but she calms WAY down with both (and, by-the-way, my dog looks very similar to the dog used for the advertisement). The leash does offer a number of options: short, long, two dogs, wrap around, etc. etc. as advertised. The fabric is a bit flimsy and seems to wear out faster than I'd like. Perhaps if I get another, I'll get one for a larger dog and hopefully that one will be wider than 1/2"

I was excited to receive the Halti head collar for our puppy since we’d had such great success with this product in the past with previous dogs. Our puppy is just learning leash etiquette, and in the meantime walks can be very unpleasant as he pulls and strains against his collar when out for exercise. We went for a walk the day it arrived, and by the time we arrived home after a bit over .5mile walk, the collar was shredded. Fortunately Chewy had AMAZING customer service and they sent me a new one right away. Now, we are very happy.

Awesome! We used one of these years ago with another "puller" who eventually learned to walk comfortably on outings. Our current pup is big & strong and is responding nicely to trainings using this headcollar for walking & jogging, pacing consistently and comfortably. I highly recommend this item for both dog & owner!

This really seems to work so far. This was the third one I purchased since I have 3 dogs. They weren't easy to walk because they were always pulling. It took a little while to get them used to wearing it. Initially they only wore it while we walked. I didn't hook the leash to it. I still have one dog that tries to take it off on occasion but they all walk so much better. I haven't encountered another animal while they were wearing it so I'm not sure if they would try running after them. My dogs are between 50 and 65 pounds and overall, walking with them has greatly improved. I wish I had tried this a year ago!

Great product although before you start using this on your pet make sure you watched the videos on how to acclimate your dog to this lead.I made the mistake of just putting it on my dog, thinking she was gonna automatically acclimate to it and that was not the case. Great product just give your pet the opportunity to get used to it first.

Halti makes, hands down, the best gentle lead. I had the Medium size for my growing yellow lab, and she was constantly pawing at her snout when wearing it. Upgraded recently to the Large as she reached 45lb, and she's totally content. I feel that the Halti provides much better training direction, feedback, and control than the simpler gentle leads, and is much more difficult for the pups in training to paw off. If you're considering options for leash training, start here. 1) Immediately before every meal, lure the dog into the Halti by holding a treat at their nose, then slip the front loop over the snout and connect the clips behind the ears. Attach the bolt snap to the collar to prevent it banging on the feeding dish. 2) Release the pup to eat while wearing the Halti. Repeat until they're actively excited to put it on. I STILL incorporate this into my feeding routine, even with my older dogs 3) Attach the leash to the Halty leash ring. LURE your pup with a treat and excited body language into following you. If the pup pulls ahead, turn around and lure them in the other direction. Do this until they follow you for the treats. Repeat luring and reversing until your pup stays at your side. Feed them treats often, whenever they are even with your leg. THIS is leash training. No halter or choke chain will TEACH a dog proper positioning. 4) Once acclimated to the correct position, a quick snap on the leash should be enough correction, followed by a treat for compliance, to keep your dog in position. 5) Bonus: to eliminate reactivity, walk into increasingly distracting environments with different people and pets. Approach the distractions only to the point where your dog is still responding to you, and jackpot them with treats for keeping their focus on you rather than other people/pets. Continue to reduce the distance of the distractions until your dog's focus is always on you, always rewarding them for the focus. I go through about 1 to 2 cups of kibble in my treat bag per day when training. Whatever is leftover at night becomes dinner.
