Double locks and lots of fun

The Happy Habits Halo Portable Hamster Carrier with Exercise Ball may be one of the most toys I've ever gotten for an animal. We have two gerbils that absolutely love this exercise ball. But this is better than just a regular ol' exercise ball. The carrier allows you to keep the exercise ball in one spot, so it cannot roll away or get batted around by a cat who realizes the gerbils are out again, and there is a lock on the carrier to keep the exercise ball securely in it. That means you have the lock on the exercise ball itself and a lock on the carrier. Double the protection for your little furry friends. Just double check the locks. It only happened once, so it was probably human error, but one of our gerbils escaped the ball and ran around the living room.

The extra stand/handle (halo) that you can attach the ball to makes it very convenient to carry around as needed, or to set up on the floor so the hamster can run without actually moving all over the room! Attaching and detaching the ball to and from the halo part takes a couple of times to get used to, but is simple once you do it a couple of times. Recommend against trying to attach or detaching to the halo with the hamster in it

Its super easy to unlock and remove the ball ! I love the locking lid function. Unlike others that pop put this lid locks securly in place so you dont have to worry about eacapees ! Its is easy to clean since its all plastic i just use the sink and run hot water and dawn dish soap on it and let it air dry !
Useless hamster carrier

I have a dwarf hamster and tried using this as a carrier? Honestly I think at this point it’s general knowledge that hamster balls are fairly unethical. I thought this would just be a cute carrier that could be stationary- but it’s a ball on a platform. The tiny opening is impossible to coach my dwarf hamster through (good luck if you have a Syrian) and the ball just keeps rolling which doesn’t allow for my hamster to properly burrow in any bedding I give him. No place for a water bottle, or snacks, I really don’t know what this could be used for. It’s also maybe 8inches in diameter which is too small for most hamsters.

This stationary Happy Habitat Halo Hamster Carrier is a blessing for Nugget. While I am cleaning his cage, or doing chores, or sewing, he is happily running around inside his new carrier safe and sound. He is not all over the house getting stuck in between furniture or his hamster ball getting stuck behind an appliance. The locks on both the carrier and where the stationary halo locks in the hamster ball are workable and secure. It is nice to glance down to see him moving around in one place. Thank you for making this halo carrier, brilliant idea, just an all around fun experience for my hamster. And Nugget thanks you too. Dana in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Our hamster Mabel loves the Happy Habitats Halo Portable Hamster Carrier with Exercise Ball. She hops right in, and it’s been perfect for quick trips and for safe out-of-cage time. The clear shell makes it easy to keep an eye on her and the orange trim is cute. The build feels secure and thoughtful. The ball clicks into the carrier with a two-step locking lid, the ventilation holes are small enough to keep paws safe, and the top handle makes carrying simple. My favorite part is the magnetic kick-out stands that let Mabel run in place without the ball rolling off the table. It doubles as enrichment and a carrier, which is exactly what we needed. If you want a breathable, secure, and genuinely fun carrier, this one’s a win. Mabel approves.

He gets plenty of exercise staying in one place, especially when I am cleaning up his cage. It is nice to have a stationary carrier to keep an eye on him. He is safe and totally secured while I am busy getting chores done. I love the locks on the ball itself, and where the ball attaches to the carrier. The stand is a nice way to let a hamster play without getting lost or stuck somewhere, but it can be used without the stand supervised or in safe play areas to let your hamster explore. It can also be used as a carrier to bring your hamster along with you. The ball is fairly small, however. It’s too small for larger breed hamsters, like Syrians and Teddy Bears. Our hamster Evie was not a fan of the ball, though she had never been in a ball like this before. She kept trying to chew her way out.

It’s perfect to pop him in the ball and let him chill on the counter or the sofa with the kids. We have dogs that always annoy him when he runs across the floor in the ball, so this allows him to still get out of the cage and hang out with us. Super easy to use and set up and I highly recommend it.
