I ordered the wrong size a size lg showed up and there way to big for me

These have lost the ability to flick the hair off. What can I do to them so that will happen again.

The Happy Horse Grooming Gloves can lose their grippy, hair shedding ability as they gather dirt, oil and grime from use. We recommend hand washing the gloves in warm water with a light degreasing soap in order to remove any buildup on the gloves. Leave the gloves to air dry before use.
