I have another bed of the same shape and style which my dog has been using for the last 4 years. The cover is still in good condition but the pillow inside has developed some holes and every time i take it out to wash the liner it’s a bit of a mess. The pillow in the original bed had a zipper so that you can add to the filling so I expected the new bed to have the same but it does not. My plan was to put the filling of the old bed into the new bed (they never have enough) so it would be nice and thick but I can’t do that, so that’s wasteful and frustrating. In addition, I bought what I thought was the same size (I even measured) but the new bed looks like it’s a couple inches bigger than the old one. I was hoping to be able to continue using the old bed cover as an alternate but I don’t think that’s going to work out either. And lastly, I think someone else said that this bed is noisy? Considering the crispness of the pillow material I can see how this might make a crunchy, rustling sound. I don’t expect it to be a huge problem for me but I can see how it could be an issue. All in all, it seems fine but I am really disappointed about no zipper on the cushion insert. It’s going to be flat and useless long before it actually wears out. Maybe I can figure out a way to add a zipper myself.
Cover is great quality, insert offers no support and is like a giant air puff
Yeah I think we paid something like 80$+ for this bed, thinking it was a comparable product to other dog beds of this size 52 inch round, but it doesn't have any stuffing inside it, when you sit down on it, it has zero support. Luna's elbows hit the floor and she just doesn't enjoy this at all. Maybe made for a very light weight dog.
My dogs destroyed a couple of beds when they were puppies, but now that they're 2 1/2 we were hopeful that they had moved past that phase. At a friend's house, they both took turns getting comfortable in her dog's bed and seemed to really enjoy it so I started looking for something comparable. I was shocked at how excited they were when I got these beds out of the package and set them up. We've had them a few weeks and the enthusiasm hasn't worn off, and I'm thrilled to say they have not damaged them - that said, I don't think these beds would hold up well with a big chewer. They are a tad pricey for the materials, so I hope they hold up for a while because they look good and are a hit with both our dogs and our cats - might have to get them a bed now too.
After doing some extensive research to find a decent quality dog bed under $100, this bed appeared to be a winner. Be warned, it has nowhere near as much stuffing as appears in the photo. The filling is a poor quality polyester fiber that flattens down quickly and has little resiliency after re-fluffing. There are just two “tufting points” on the inner cover meant to keep the filling evenly distributed and both came unstitched within a couple of months, creating little holes in the inner cover. Second star was awarded due to the outer cover being reasonably well-constructed. The fabric on the sides and bottom of the outer cover is pretty nice, but the fleecy top panel looked matted and overly worn after just a few months of regular use—our dog does not chew or burrow on the bed, just likes to lounge.
This Bed is great, our great Pyrenees beats beds to death but this thing is tough and has not been damaged. Both of our dogs love it.
The bed came in 2 parts. The "padding" was sealed under vacuum in its own bag. I opened it and installed it in the cover. Relatively easy to do. BTW: The zipper feels cheap and not well made. After more than a week the padding is still not providing any padding by dog lies in it and sinks right to the ground. We have had other brands of these large dog beds with great padding. I'm going to see if I can return and/or get my money back
Bed was fat. Thought it would be flat but had a divot in the middle. Unfortunately it lasted about 10 minutes before it was destroyed.
HAVEN'T HAD THESE very long and it's pulling away at the seams.
This is the perfect dog bed if you have a cuddly dog! It is generously sized, overstuffed and insanely plush! It seems to be easier for my pup to get in and out of than the “pouf” style dog beds, but still has a center divot so has a nice nest/donut like quality. All in all, my 23 lb Boston terrier loves this bed! I ordered the small and he has extra room. Bed came with the insert removed, so I know it will be easy to keep clean! Would highly recommend!
